[ROM][10.0][ONEPLUS 5] crDroid Android 6.17 [30 APR 2021]

Is anyone else seeing their GPS flick on for a second or two every few min after this last update? I know no app is accessing the GPS, but it's icon keeps popping up in my status bar. Seems like it will drain the battery faster if the phone is turning on the GPS for no obvious reason.

Update:
I reinstalled gapps, and it seems to have fixed the problem.

I've got a pretty weird problem, in duolingo, audio cuts off ~0.5s before the clip ends.
Have tested old app builds, same audio cut off, tried on browser, works fine, tried on a different phone with same app version, works fine.
I'm on the latest build, with the latest required firmware of 10.0.1, problem started since i updated to this firmware/build this evening.
Anyone has any suggestions? Thanks.

Edit: found out that i can make it play the full audio by tapping the play icon twice in quick succession. Unfortunately, this option is not available throughout the lessons. Also, music playback works fine.

I have two strange problems for a few months:

1. Sometimes when I unlock my smartphone by fingerprint, the flashlight turns on.
It only happens from time to time. I have no idea why this happens.

I'd also love to see a fix for this bug...

I believe so. This is exactly what I did on my OP5:
- Flash twrp-3.4.0-1-cheeseburger.img and boot into Recovery
- Wipe data, cache and system
- Flash firmware_10.0.1_oneplus5.zip via Install in TWRP
- Flash crDroidAndroid-10.0-20210122-cheeseburger-v6.14.zip via Install in TWRP
- Reboot

Did you flash dirty or clean? Such behavior could have several reasons.

- Wipe data, cache and system
So clean flash, right?

I know this sounds really stupid but can someone please confirm which set of exact instructions and exact files they used to boot up crDroid with working Alert Slider? I am following XDA instructions and getting nowhere. This is driving me crazy

- Flash stock recovery
fastboot flash recovery OP5_recovery.img
- Boot into stock recovery and format data, wipe EVERYTHING
- Flash Stock Q
adb sideload OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_069_all_2010292138_55db5445239246dd.zip
- Reboot and complete wizard. Observe Alert Slider is working.
- Flash TWRP via bootloader:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.4.0-1-cheeseburger.img
- Format data in TWRP
- Reboot to recovery
- Wipe EVERYTHING (dalvik, cache, system, vendor, data)
- Flash firmware in TWRP via install: firmware_10.0.1_oneplus5.zip
- Flash crDroid in TWRP via install: crDroidAndroid-10.0-20210122-cheeseburger-v6.14.zip
- Reboot and complete setup wizard

Have you been on CrDroid before flashing recovery or did you use another rom? If so, have you been decrypted on that other rom?

I posted my steps above. I started from stock Q, flashed TWRP, then crDroid. I have not taken any steps to decrypt my data partition. I did not configure any locking pin for decryption at any time.

Should I be decrypting data?

I think you should've farmatted before flashing CrDroid. If you come from another rom in some cases format is needed...if you're coming from stock Android afaik it's mandatory.

Bro, I wrote down my steps and they include format data before flash crDroid. Can you look at my steps let me know if something is not right? I'm trying to get a working Alert Slider.

Sorry, didn't See your post referring formatting, your steps seem to be correct.
Last thing I could think of is recovery itself. For me OrangeFox or latest Blu_Spark have always been working, I would try one of them.

I tried using different recoveries like OrangeFox or forcedecrypt-TWRP. Still no Alert Slider. What's crazy is that the same process works for my 128 GB OP5. But when I flash crDroid on to the 64 GB OP5, the Alert Slider is dead, even tho the Alert Slider works on Stock Q!

Did you also try Blu_Spark 9.116?

Storage size could be an important info. If there's a difference between both models regarding hardware and/or drivers, that could be the issue. I would recommend asking dev about that.
