A little update on my setup: everything went smoothly. Once I was in recovery I noticed that the contents of /sdcard/ were garbled, which means the ROM was stock encrypted. So, I wiped the storage and uploaded all the files into /sdcard/.OP5T_OS for installation. After this I proceeded to install everything. The no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip file gave error. Despite this, the ROM booted correctly and Magisk is there working normally.
There's a little hiccup, though. I need access to Wi-Fi channels 12 & 13, but the ROM seems to be configured stock for American territory (OP5T not o_O seeing my main Wi-Fi network right now). I dealt with this same issue many years ago installing a custom superlightweight ROM in a Moto G running Lollipop. I had to edit a file somewhere  in the system. I wonder how should I proceed now five Android versions later, although in any case I'd very much prefer if someone refreshes my memory or guides me on what to do now.

“/system/build.prop” - edited it and changed ro.product.locale from en-US to es-ES. The device still not recognized my 13rd channel Wi-Fi network, even after a reboot. :cautious:
Don't know what to do next (other than trying another ROM, that is). It sucks when stuff like this happens.
Suggestions welcome. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you could reply back with a better understanding of what your issue is I can better help you. I've had this rom on my device for awhile now.

By default not all wifi networks show in setup you could try running through it and then going through the system settings normally after the setup I've never had any issues with wifi

Oh! Well, all it took was to insert (!) a simcard. The device switched the WiFi zone according to the network locale. I guess that is about correct, but what if you were to use the smartphone without a SIM?

Yeah, I know I am one of those weirdos. I'm sooo accustomed to using my smartphone that it's quite rare for me to sit in front of my laptop.
Success! 😊

Hello,

I am wondering if I can set an app to open, let's say when I draw an 'S' on the screen while it's off. How can I go about doing that? OxygenOS allowed it but it seems like crDroid doesn't let you select an app.

I flashed the 6.16 update (21st March, 2021) like normal but ended up in a boot loop. After reading through the telegram chat, I was able to get my phone to boot again with all of my data intact by flashing the 6.16 update again, but also flashing updated gapps alongside it. I just used OpenGApps Nano as that's what I had on my phone before.

Hi. Thank you for the update. I didn't expect another android 10 release.

One problem though. After upgrading from 6.16 to 6.17, 4k video recording has stopped working for me. The Camera app crashes when attempting to record at 4k. I have to reset the settings to default to be able to record again in 1080p. I've tried a full wipe and clean flash, I'm on the 10.0.1 firmware. Nikita GCam 7.4 and 8.1 also don't work at 4k, both worked fine in 6.16.

Hello! :)
Quick comment concerning the device I set up for a friend months ago. My friend went home and I could notice that for some reason his 📱 smartphone does not output audio through the left audio channel of its headphone connector. I guess this has nothing to do with the software, but just in case I ask.
Concerning the above issue, quickest solution besides internal jack connector replacement is to use bluetooth headphones. Do the USB-C to headphone jack adapters of newer 1+ devices work? I am hearing in the grapevine they don't.
Everything working right in the bluetooth headphone field, doesn't it? 🤔

Thanks in any case and best regards :cowboy:

for me, I get stereo audio on both headphones plugged in via 3.5mm jack, as well as via bluetooth. so it's either a hardware-related issue or something else that might've went wrong during the flashing process I'd assume.

some other issue I have though:

I get (seemingly) random restarts on my 5T when doing things like turning on data for example - every time when turning on data, not just once every x times. After the reboot data is turned on and is working. When switching data off and on again, it reboots again... didn't happen when I was on OOS.

I'm using latest crdroid 7.8 (from July 24th 2021) + nova launcher prime. issue also occurs when selecting crDroid as launcher app. OnePlus 5T, obviously
Anyone else experienced something similar ad/or has any idea for a fix?
