The easiest way is to install magisk (to get root access), then install hktweaks. There is sound tweak which allows you to set volume for ear speaker and bottom speaker. I added 6db for both (since my mom has hearing aid), so now every sound on phone is twice louder than factory settingsIt is a great rom by the way but i have problem that my phone volume is low now please help me how i can fix this
I have no problem with fast charging wired or wireless.Thank you.
Well I only dirty flashed.
So far so good.
I only noticed two things :
1. Sometimes UI crashes and automatically restarts (Only UI not the whole phone)
2. Despite the fact that I am fast charging with my original charger and shows on screen it does ... The device charges slow. But not like actual slow ... It's like a fast charge v.1.5 and not 2.0 speed. Sort of. Cannot describe it well.
Still..have some minor issues,..I had been Waiting for V6 for quite a while.
So have the previous issue from past comments resolved and if there are still any issues that occured in the V6 do let me know
I want to flash this rom Asap!
They may come back, I would be surprised if they didn't. I have cleaned flashed many times... after about a week or so audio mute issues come back. Not sure if there will ever be a fix. However, if there is, it would be a perfect ROM.Dirty flashes were wreaking my phone and audio mute and other issues that never occured earlier started. Full wipe and install and it is flawless now
Okay sure. Im being Impatient right now.Still..have some minor issues,..
like an alarm, charging, wifi, etc..
Wait until V7.0 release next month..would be fantastic!!
at least..near to perfection?!
trust me .. before this thread reach page 200.. v7 will realease!!
Use it till the end..DEATH of S7!!
I'm really impressed by this ROM. Smooth, no low volume or echo bug like in the Lineage 17.1 ROM, VoLTE, WiFi calls. I would say that FloydQ v6 drains a little more battery than Lineage, probably due to One UI.
New battery, new OS, my beloved S7 is ready for another year of duty.
Is there a Bitcoin address (Native SegWit please) to send a tip ?
Oh boy indeed it got muted last night Point is while everyone complained abt it I never had it in v5 and I went all the way till v6 in dirty..It started happening too frequently on v6 in dirty flashed instance with hanging games.. so i clean wiped and had it mute again yesterday..Though it felt different this time, didnt show a bluetooth icon unlike the dirty flashed instance. But I love this rom, the phone goes strong each day thanks to the dev and I am pretty sure only COD Mobile will kill my phone one dayThey may come back, I would be surprised if they didn't. Yah it's an ongoing problem. Be nice to have the audio notification fixed, things take time, people have lives. Perhaps someday the bug will be resolved.Oh boy indeed it got muted last night Point is while everyone complained abt it I never had it in v5 and I went all the way till v6 in dirty..It started happening too frequently on v6 in dirty flashed instance with hanging games.. so i clean wiped and had it mute again yesterday..Though it felt different this time, didnt show a bluetooth icon unlike the dirty flashed instance. Think it is time to address some questions that have been ongoing for a while now.
- Will there be a V7 ?
> not sure, there is nothing more i can fix in Q, aside from a rom rebase, and a kernel refresh (to fix some of the freeze issues) there isnt more we can do. V6 is really EOL if you use a different kernel, V7 wont offer anything extra that is important.
so FloydQ is probably on hold unless i find some way to fix something big enough to make it worthwhile
- Will there be a OneUI 3.1 port
> Probably Not, not to the standards i would like to see, currently there are few bugs that need fixing,
1- Hardware composer
2- Samsung Camera
3- button keylight/vibration
4- might be some more i didn't find yet
Everything else is in-sync with android Q, this bug list alone does not make for a "stable" and "usable" rom in my opinion, yes you can use GCAM, but thats only few people, samsung camera is critical and ive seen how people react to roms before with no samsung camera. i am not going down that route again
The biggest problem is obviously the HWC, we can "hack" around it and disable some stuff to make it not reboot the phone every 5 minutes, but these are ugly hacks that are not guaranteed to be stable, and not cause random soft reboots
Samsung Camera and HWC are both very unlikely to be fixed, and without those two, i really cant push a ROM out.
- So what is next ?
I am simply burned out, i do not have any motivation to do much relating to oneui, yeah sure here and there ill make few things for my self, but that is only because i dont have the pressure of hundreds constantly asking for status and updates or others having high expectations and demands which i know i am not likely to meet
And this summer i am going to be more busy, i will be working and i wont have much time for heavy time consuming projects, after all, android is not a source of income, and i need one. and no i do not want to put my roms behind a paywall, as thats not something i stand for.
i will only be working on "minor" things, that i can finish in an hour or two, such as an update i have coming up for a different phone. or minor tweaking here and there. but to sit every day for hours on end to fix and make massive roms, i do not think i have the time for that any more.
Lastly, i know you guys are waiting, (both the exy8890 and 8895 people), i will do my best to push a V7 for 8890, to try and tie whatever lose ends we have, but that is going to be the EOL version for the S7, regarding 8895, hadesV2 will be released very soon, but more on that will be posted on its appropriate channel.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk
