I don't understand what you mean by what little change???. I'm sure if the rom can be updated to android 11 then Anan would make it. And I'm sure am not the only who is requesting for v7. And sometimes the rom hangs that is why I said a little change or update for the love of Floyd. So I don't get why you asking me what change???
Well i just installed the s7 stock camera on Floyd but only front camera keep crashing.

now I am trying to install latest G935F stock rom via odin but it is giving error at cm.bin or sometimes at boot.img step and fails. any idea how can I rescue my phone?thank you
do you use the correct stock rom version? In the screenshot it says yo want to flash G925XX --> this is for a Galaxy S6!

Maybe is a Emmc hardbrick you are flashing the last oreo firmware on your phone? (cm.bin is associated for me as a bad intent of flashing a incorrect binary)hi all. Nope unfortunately the hardware is not capable to run OneUI 3 so we can't see Android 11 on the S7 and S7e (Seems to be too much laggy)
If you really need Android 11 or 12 you can flash an AOSP version

I have a little problem with FloydQ on my S7 Edge (V6.0). My phone lags more or less regularly, once every 10 seconds. It is really annoying when im typing :3 I don't have this problem on stock or other ROM's. Any idea? When I was installing this Rom, I was affraid to lose the accessibilty use "Easy screen turn on" (S7 feature) since this Rom is a port and all that. It was a great surprise to find it present. I know now that Note 9 got also that feature.
Now on another phone with Android 12, I am looking for a way to reproduce it. I tried most apps on PlayStore, that says to manage it, but none work properly. Some even mess with the sensor, and was a pain to remove it.
I was wondering if it was possible to make that feature into a flashage Zip, that can be installed though TWRP. I know long shot, and desperate wishes. I asked...
Anyway, I am really looking to get this feature back, so any suggestions, or apps that really work, or alternative to it ?

@ananjaser1211 I wonder if it's alive? The subject has turned to the funeral... he has to end this matter now. The higher version is not passed. A publication that will delight all the poor is expected. How about adding new things now that you can't fix or post anything else. A v7 with S22 stock Wallpaper and ringtones....
the only thing i can confirm is that there is no android 11 version in the making, and people are only expecting that, if you want 11 AOSP is the only usable one, OneUI 3 is too heavy for this device. idk if this rom is dead or not, V7 is just there, i dont have time to finish it, im busy with a hundred different things in my life that are not android. and i cant just drop a link to an unfinished version, i rather not release anything at all if thats the case.
i simply dont have the same time commitment i did for android, and such projects is not a thing that can be done in a week. and people asking me every single day over different channels does not help much. i know you guys want a new version, i want to release another version for a year, i just dont have the opportunity to do that yet. the remaining issues are not things that can easily be solved, and a new version that retains the same bugs does not make any sense.
all i can say for sure is, there is a very low chance of an android 11 port, if ever, and V7 does exist but not in a state were it makes sense to release. however i still put in work on the S7 every couple weeks when i get the chance. so i dont have an ETA on when the update will drop, or if it will even be upto the requirements that people are putting.

It so hard to accept that there won't be v7. Your rom is the best and the only outstanding rom with Samsung UI which is still keeping the belove s7 edge alive. I really appreciate your work, I have tried all other ASOP rom and still come back to Flody because of it great features and the feeling of that Samsung UI. If it possible for me to help you with some errands for you to be able and have time to work on v7 I would gladly do it. But it really heart breaking hearing there won't be v7 of Flody. I really appreciate your rom

V7.0 Release Notes :-
Its only fitting to release V7 in July isn't it. The ROM is 2 years old and still has an active following which blows my mind. id like to say thanks to all the users for your support all this time, and especially a big thanks to the testing team who stuck by me for this long.
Between my university, life and other projects, i haven't had consistent time to work on the ROM, i have updated it to the latest note 9 release (which is the last one by samsung) with May 2022 Security patch. Ive done some work on the kernel and base to remove some of the issues caused in V6, added a bunch of new fixes we gathered over time and from the note 8 Q project. and just overall tidy up the ROM, there is still some work left to do, but i dont want to delay V7 any further, if/when we do another version, it will contain more experimental fixes that didn't make it here.
I have done some changes to audio, which may be better or worse on the long run, hopefully to the better, the rom only had couple months of testing with a very small test group, so i wouldn't say its bullet proof. RAM, Camera Audio and overall stability has been worked on, and hopefully this reflects in real usage. ive only used the S7 to play a couple games and use some social media, as it is not my daily driver.
So far the black screen / alarm issue has not been commonly reported, neither did audio muting, however i cant rule out that it was fully fixed until it is tested by much more people. incase you still face these issues, open new reports on github
Overall i hope this new version works better for everyone, we reached the peak of what we can fix back in V6 and that was quite underwhelming, so hopefully with this new release Exynos8890 gets a new lease on life, atleast when it comes to OneUI
And no, i do not think we will ever see a OneUI 3 public release, it is simply too buggy to even look at.

Floyd 7.0 - 01.07.20221Floyd V7.0 Critical Hotfix
This is a pretty important hotfix, as to avoid reuploading the entire ROM for 700kbs, download this patch and flash it via TWRP.
This is required mainly if you use SElinux enforcing, however some users reported issues while permissive aswell. This fixes the following :
1) An issue that prevented lockscreen from being set
2) An issue that prevented the phone from switching to permissive when enforcing is not enabled
3) Patches various Selinux denials that users reported in logs
4) some fixes for Storage denials
This will fix the first 3 issues, however if you are one of the users who had issues relating to internal storage (Unable to take screenshot due to policy, unable to write data to internal or sdcard) then this fix is not likely to help much, you will have to reinstall the ROM and NOT select enforcing (so the ROM is permissive)
I dont know why it happens yet, when it is figured out hotfix2 will be released.
If anyone complains about the issues listed above please guide them to this post.

36Few updates regarding V7.0
Key changes are:
- an overall change to the audio system (again for the 5th time probably lol) with improved bass and loudness, and hopefully less "bugs".
- Rom has been rebased to latest May 2022 Note 9 release
- S9 Inifnity wallpaper option has been dropped, as samsung no longer updates the S9 for the needed APKs
- Kernel has been improved and hopefully no more black screens / random freezes (none so far in testing)
- Camera has been significantly improved stability wise thanks to new FDSan fixes by ivan meler
- Various changes has been done to try and mitigate a bunch of random bugs reported on github
- And RAM has been adjusted again to avoid few reports of OOM crashes
- Everything that has been done in the hades Q project has also been merged, fixes wise
And finally, the ROM now comes with an option in aroma to enable **Selinux Enforcing**, If you dont know what this is, the option is unchecked by default, but TLDR; selinux enforcing improves security and will allow you to use many more apps that detect Root, such as bank apps without even needing magisk to be installed.
Though i should mention, Enforcing ONLY works in cronos kernel. if you switch to other kernels it will switch to permissive automatically

The ROM is entering the final testing stage, and hopefully will be released this month if all goes to plan, Sadly so far i am unable to fix IRIS sensor on the note 7 models, we will continue testing the ROM to try to make sure its as stable as possible, unlike the mess that is V620FloydQ V7.0

The file you copied (framework_res*overlay) is more or less a configuration file, that contains a bunch of settings and switches that determine certain features, in this case it enables the config for Navigation Bar (hence why it was in a special folder called Navi, the rom installer just copies this based on user choice in the installer)
the CHMOD is a standard linux command that adjusts file permissions, we want the system to be able to read the file, the numbers correspond to a certain permission list, you can look that up online as this is standard linux commands
The world of custom ROMs is extremally vast an interesting once you get your hands a bit dirty and start experimenting, to find what ROM suites you the best, it is one of the greatest's things about the android echo system. most S7 owners would have just thrown away their device, even though it is capable, simply due to bloated and outdated software. instead they get to choose their OWN flavor of android ,be it Open Source Android (Lineage, crDroid, Pixel experience) or OneUI ROMs (ROMs using samsung's skin such as Floyd or BlackDiamond Pie). so it is pretty fun to find what suites you the best, and its a good pastime.
There is a V7 currently being developed, and hopefully will be released as soon as possible, V6 is more of a hit or miss with certain people, as some usages cause issues with Audio and camera, i have been trying to fully eliminate such issues and have the ROM feel as "stock" as possible, i.e coming straight from samsung to make it as user friendly as possible, but unlike open source android ROMs, dealing with closed source ROMs such as OneUI is a nightmare both technically and mentally.
V7 works on many fronts to fix loads of issues people have reported since V6 (Which was released 14 months ago...my bad) and hopefully improve stability overall.
there isn't much i can do with Android Q, as we have reached the peak of what is reasonably fixable a long time ago, some how still pushing the boundaries and making it more stable. so i do hope V7 lands well and works as id like it to.6Hey @ananjaser1211, you are the best. NOTES :
- After installation, leave your phone to build and optimize caches. which can take upto 15 minutes on clean flash. your phone will be HOT at this stage. If DirtyFlashing, it can take upto 30mins
- Clean flash is always recommended to avoid issues especially with this release! if you faced weird issues/blackscreens/freezes a clean flash is recommended without smartswitch / samsungcloud restore

Q : Should i use Enforcing ? What is it ? How to enable it
A :
- Selinux Enforcing can be enable by ticking ENFORCING option in AROMA installer
- Enforcing adds restrictions and does not just allow anything to access anything
- Enforcing will allow you to bypass MOST root detection and will allow many Banking apps to work again
- If you want to use ROOT + Enforcing you are likely to need Magisk Hide (magisk v23) / Denylist (V24+) to retain banking apps etc
- Selinux Enforcing is still "Testing" phase, but it should be stable for now
- Settings does not show Selinux status, to know status you can type "getenforce" in terminal emulator
- Enforcing ONLY works in the included Cronos V7.0 Kernel, and will be disabled if you change kernels
Q : Note 7 Iris ?
A :
- Iris can be registered and enabled on Note 7 However it is still experimental, and is prone to causing a random reboot every few days
- A test workaround is disabling "Screen on Iris Recognition"
- In order to have IRIS Flash light torch intensity has been disabled, instead the torch will run at max brightness always
Q : Infinity wallpapers ?
A : Infinity wallpapers were removed due to out of date S9+ Builds, as samsung no longer ships updates for it
Q : Games are Laggy/Pix-elated/Stutter/sucks/crashes
A : Open GameLauncher > Top Left menu > Game Performance > Set Game performance to "Focus on PowerSaving" : Video
Q : Phone is not charging / Discharging while charging
A : Check your battery temperature, OneUI 2 wont charge when your battery is above 42C. there is no bypass to this
Q : How to get Root ?
A : Download Magisk and follow instructions (V23.0 Is recommended if you root + easy magisk hide. rename .apk to .zip and flash via twrp if your version is old)
Q : SafetyNet ?
A : The ROM Already contains bypasses and fixes for Safetynet without the need of magisk, however if you root, you must enable HIDE to restore Hiding for many apps

Q : GCAM Support?
A : You have to use Android Q compatible GCAM Otherwise it will be stuck at processing, This version of UnixCamera by @mark199850 is supported. install it then go into camera settings and restart the gcam app
Q : How to Adjust/Disable level of touch key vibration ?
A : Go to settings > Sound and vibration > Vibration Intensity > Increase or decrease Touch Interaction (lowest will disable vibration)
Q : How to Disable keylight without enabling PowerSaving ?
A : Use this app to configure key light time out settings GalaxyButtons
Q : Does this support X?
A : This ROM supports All Exynos8890 devices (S7/S7E Note7 and Note7FE) and does not support Snapdragon models
Q : I have Symlinks error / Rom wont go past splash
A : As the AROMA Told you, don't pick all the bloat. and use default settings if you don't know otherwise
A : If you previously installed Treble, and did not flash revert, Now is a good time. Your system might be too small
Q : Device is running too hot
A : If it was just set-up, Give it time and make sure everything is up-to-date.
Q : What to do after the rom is setup ?
A : Go to samsung apps, let the phone update everything except game booster
Q : My phone does NOT boot help pls
A : Ensure you have LATEST bootloader and modem installed, did all the wipes, and did your house chores.88Addons, Fixes and other msic stuff will be posted here when needed
