    • Boot into recovery, mount /system and delete /system/priv-app/CIDManager folder through the recovery's file manager. (Note that the path may be /system/system/priv-app/CIDManager depending on the recovery used)

    • This mostly happens if you're rooted with Magisk because the system detects that you're rooted and denies DRM. To fix that, install this Magisk Module. Note that DRM will fall back to L3 which means that you won't be able to watch anything in HD.

Thx for work, man. ROM is cool, but sometimes it freezing. I hope, you'll fix it.
It might take a day or two to settle down and then you shouldn't get any freezing

That's strange since I haven't had any issues with the aod over the month or so I've been testing this and I don't remember anyone else reporting it, are you sure your sensors are OK?

This seems to be happening to multiple users, though I didnt encouter this at all during intensive testing.
In the meantime, reboot to recovery and delete /system/priv-app/CIDManager.
Also, which CSC did you choose in aroma?

This ROM is really cool. The only thing that really bothers me is the very low sound. In the Oreo stock ROM the sound is much louder and with better quality. I hope that in the next update this will be fixed.
      6. Based on my own experience, the speaker volume is lower compared to stock Oreo and korean pie, which hopefully will be fixed on future updates if any are planned.
First, thanks for reporting that bug.
At the moment I'm not fully sure what causes this bug. But I'm pretty sure it's either due to the base ROM (Note 10 Lite firmware) or due to the 3rd party volume fix.
I'm confident I'll figure it out.

I was pleased that this ROM ran so smoothly. But lately, it's the phone that's starting to stutter and stutter sometimes when you try to unlock with your fingerprint.
I assume you have the fingerprint unlock animation enabled?
If so, go to settings, Fingerprint/Biometric settings and disable "Show unlock animation".

This will be fixed in the next version so nobody will experience random freezes and/or stuttering anymore while unlocking via fingerprint.

      v2.0 I noticed bugs:

1.on the lock screen when entering a pin code, the keyboard is raised too high on the screen

2.when the phone is unlocked with a fingerprint, a green animation appears on the screen as on the S10 (as if the scanner is in the screen, but it is not)

3.bug in the OneUI interface itself: items in various menu lists are not with rounded corners, but rectangular and stretch to the very edge

      4. animation lags, (you can see that the phone is difficult and ragged animation appears, especially in the volume and backlight controls)

i am back to korean firmware
      Hey there!
      1. This i tried to check myself, set my unlock method to both pin and passwors. While on pin you get a numerical keypad which is in the middle of the screen where it should be. On password the keyboard opens and it's at the lowest position possible. Maybe you have zoomed the ui and set the font sizes to a higher value. Also tinker with keyboard and navigation bar settings I'm sure you'll get it fixed.

      2. There's a toggle in biometrics section for turning the green animation off. I actually use that because the phone sometimes asks for password instead of fingerprint for "security" and doesn't notify you that you need to unlock using password until you press power button. It's frustrating when you try to unlock with fingerprint for like 6 times and nothing happens. So when the green animation doesn't show up i know it needs password.

      3. I don't know exactly what you mean by this but my UI has rounded corners and is completely identical to samsung phones running stock OneUI 2.5.

      4. Did you do a clean install (wipe everything)? Most people have reported a smooth and fluid user experience.
However the phone does heat up more than it used to on other roms when gaming to the point it affects fps which you should consider if you plan on extended gaming sessions.

A10 is a great development for A720, while we all feel abandoned by Samsung. So, thanks to all who contribute the development. Thank you @Simon1511

I am still using A720 with stock ROM, but I feel that it slows down day by day, probably due to battery life time management that is activated by the final patch (November 2020)

      So, before I try this ROM, may I ask;

      1. Any Youtube review to be included in the ROM images in the 1st page? ROM reviews on Youtube are in Indonesian Bahasa and most of the them are good work but not in decent technical review.

      2. Real battery drain and battery life information from users (with respect to original Stock ROM.)

      3. If daylight sensor works fine in this ROM,

      4. Functionality of live focus in rear cam and background blur problem in front cam.

      5. Quality of all the radio modules with respect to Stock ROM. (GPS reception, bluetooth connectivity, wifi stability, LTE speed)

      6. Volume level with respect to original Stock ROM.

      7. Amount of free RAM storage area after install.

      8. A bit more information about Echo issue on the phone's mic. Does it prevent phone conversation?

Thank you all and congrats to developers.
      Hello!

First read my review after a week's usage:
      Post in thread '[ROM][10.0][OneUI 2.5] Rise-Q v2.0 for A5 and A7 2017' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...v2-0-for-a5-and-a7-2017.4203007/post-84856305

      1. I tried but couldn't find a technical review in English. So unless an XDA community member makes one, i don't think there will be any.

      2. I've talked about batter drain on my review, but compared to stock Android O, I can say it drains about 5 to 10 percent faster. A part of that is due to the phone's battery degradation over time and the rest is the core differences in the kernels which can be really hard to optimize to the point it's not worth the time. But overal i am more than happy with my battery on this rom. On normal usage i charge my battery once a day, and twice a day on weekends when i play more games and watch youtube.

      3. Yes, it's perfectly fine. I also got an app that measures light levels using the sensor and the values it shows are valid.

      4. Live focus works, it detects faces and blurs everything else in the background on both front and rear camera.
The background blur on front camera is a hardware issue and has always been present from stock Android 7 (mine came with Noughat out of box) all the way to this rom. Many other users have reported this as well. So there's no fixing that since it's not a software issue.

      5. GPS reception is good and is accurate.
Bluetooth works with no issues, however the list of paired devices isn't saved and asks for a pair each time you try to connect. This can be fixed with a magisk module.
Wifi and LTE connectivity are no different than stock Oreo. Both consistency and speed wise.

      6. Based on my own experience, the speaker volume is lower compared to stock Oreo and korean pie, which hopefully will be fixed on future updates if any are planned.

      7. The amount of storage available after installation for me was around 19 gigs. Free memory space for me varies from 1.3 gigs down to 500 mb, which is identical to stock.

      8. So far i haven't had any echos on phone calls, cellular or using third party voice chat apps. I've called my other numbers to test it myself.

      UPDATE
      Rise-Q v2.0 is here!

At first, I want to thank @ananjaser1211 for his fixes and of course for answering all my stupid questions. Also thanks to @Option58 for upstreaming our kernel to Linux 3.18.140. Finally, huge thanks to all testers on Telegram for even finding the tiniest bugs.
As this release of Rise-Q is now based on OneUI 2.5 from Galaxy Note 10 Lite, dirty flashing it over Rise-Q v1.0 or v1.1 will in most cases not work! It is highly recommended to wipe /data in recovery before installing Rise-Q v2.0.
You can find downloads and the changelog of this release down below.

I have been installing software on my phones for years. I use Twrp and I do very successful uploads. I do not experience problems such as crashing, freezing, application crash. This rise Q v1.0 software was also considered partially successful, although a bit slow, it was still successful. But v1.1 sucks dude, there is freezing, hardening, slowing down. Touch detects too late, sensors react with delay. As a result, I uninstalled the software. I installed android 9 v.1.5 hades again. at least incredibly fast. Thanks for your effort.
I am in fact aware of the issues in v1.1. But sadly I have been busy with real-life stuff for the past month, so I had no time to investigate. I will very soon start working on this project and will hopefully find out what causes the lag and performance issues.
      Thanks for your feedback.
