Okay, so I have been using for a few weeks and have had no problems with it, other than the ones i mentioned about the edge display. But I recently bought airdots 2, and the audio seems to go off randomly. While playing anything it seems to fade out and vome back in a second. I would appreciate if someone were to gelp me out on this as I am pretty in experienced when it comes to android.

So far i have only encountered ui crash once and it was when i tried to unlock with fingerprint, so that might be the source of problem. But I'm gonna wait a week or two before I make a full review of my experience with the latest update so the results can be more reliable. I have no issues with spotify it works fine and about secure folder, there's a high chance it will never work. So please stop asking for it. If a fix becomes available it will be added later.
how did you get rid of the echo in phone calls of this excellent rom??

Never really had any issues regarding phone calls on both cellular and social apps calls. My side is fine and if there was echo on the other side the person I'm talking to would've mentioned. On the note that they haven't, I'll test it out myself.

I was pleased that this ROM ran so smoothly. But lately, it's the phone that's starting to stutter and stutter sometimes when you try to unlock with your fingerprint.
I assume you have the fingerprint unlock animation enabled?
If so, go to settings, Fingerprint/Biometric settings and disable "Show unlock animation".

This will be fixed in the next version so nobody will experience random freezes and/or stuttering anymore while unlocking via fingerprint.

First, why should he? He's working on this in his free time and should not be expected to commit to an update schedule.
Secondly, there isn't really a lot to update since the base device is now android 11/oneui 3, meaning that it will not receive any more android 10/oneui 2 updates and security patches, therefore riseq won't get a newer base firmware, this means that the only future updates to riseq will be small fixes or patches to the current version, no new firmware from Samsung.
Also, it's generally bad practice on xda to ask for an eta/update schedule since most developers are working in their free time.

Its obvious that you have much free time than him, as you speak on his behalf.

He must have been mistaken by saying that he has plans to update the ROM. Or even make small enhancements, to be able to protect users from random freezes or stuttering.

Did any of us ask any developer to commit any future development free of charge here? I dont think so.

We are more than happy that respected XDA developers are providing second chance to our old handsets and we all congratulate and salute them.

We, the humble followers of XDA, salute/respect the developers, especially knowing that they make the development by using their own free time.

We don't really understand your tone in your language and the reason behind starting an unnecessary argument here Mr @Jmackley.

Are you trying to teach us a lesson or tell us how to behave on internet forums? Or are you a developer yourself who are offended by our silly questions?

      Install this Magisk module.

This is a problem that only occurs if you're rooted because the system itself detects your root and therefore blocks DRM.
Installing the above module fixes that.

      • Boot into recovery, mount /system and delete /system/priv-app/CIDManager folder through the recovery's file manager. (Note that the path may be /system/system/priv-app/CIDManager depending on the recovery used)

      • This mostly happens if you're rooted with Magisk because the system detects that you're rooted and denies DRM. To fix that, install this Magisk Module. Note that DRM will fall back to L3 which means that you won't be able to watch anything in HD.

      UPDATE
      Rise-Q v2.0 is here!

At first, I want to thank @ananjaser1211 for his fixes and of course for answering all my stupid questions. Also thanks to @Option58 for upstreaming our kernel to Linux 3.18.140. Finally, huge thanks to all testers on Telegram for even finding the tiniest bugs.
As this release of Rise-Q is now based on OneUI 2.5 from Galaxy Note 10 Lite, dirty flashing it over Rise-Q v1.0 or v1.1 will in most cases not work! It is highly recommended to wipe /data in recovery before installing Rise-Q v2.0.
You can find downloads and the changelog of this release down below.

I have been installing software on my phones for years. I use Twrp and I do very successful uploads. I do not experience problems such as crashing, freezing, application crash. This rise Q v1.0 software was also considered partially successful, although a bit slow, it was still successful. But v1.1 sucks dude, there is freezing, hardening, slowing down. Touch detects too late, sensors react with delay. As a result, I uninstalled the software. I installed android 9 v.1.5 hades again. at least incredibly fast. Thanks for your effort.
I am in fact aware of the issues in v1.1. But sadly I have been busy with real-life stuff for the past month, so I had no time to investigate. I will very soon start working on this project and will hopefully find out what causes the lag and performance issues.
      Thanks for your feedback.
