I had a popup to restart my phone after switching data from sim one to sim 2.... swapping my sims... my phone keeps telling me to restart my phone and each reboot which prevented me to do anything on the phone. I had to wipe and clean flash again.
I dont have that issue again. Now am scared of removing my sim in other not to have such issue again. Im using A520FD

Going forward, i will back up my present setup and try to remove my sim...
Also, there is a page to choose data sim or to keep the current settings which i chose sim1.
I guess this made things work fine at my second installation.

After 2 days of use, I only encountered 2 problems: the fingerprint which does not work in the Aegis application (I know the problem is from OneUi 2) and the inability to activate "SecurisPass" on my banking application.

voLTE works, but you have to manually set the access point. In previous versions this was done automatically. Excellent work again Simon1511 ,thank you for taking care of our old phones and supporting.

I thought there would be no update. Installed 10.04.2021 Korean. I had to reinstall it on yours. Great job, everything works with a bang.

Try to check if your operator has enabled volte for Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lite. Since that's the device this rom is based on, the operators think you have a Note 10 lite.
Previous versions were based on A7 2018.

Hi.
I have a problem with the latest version of this ROM.
I tried to connect to my university's wifi. But when the wifi's login page was opening, the phone reboot itself.
After that the phone kept connecting to the wifi and kept rebooting. I had to boot into safe mode and turn off wifi connection in order to not get my phone stuck in boot loop.
Can you look up this bug and fix it?

It's not bug because others did not experience it. Try to clean flash.
Tried it. Still not working.
The problem only occurs when i connected to a network that requires account authorization to login. Like my university's one.
Normal wifi connection worked without any problem.

Out of my own experience, I can say that there are no problems with WiFi networks that require authorization. My college/university uses a similar system and it works just fine for me and everyone else I know. Be sure to select the correct settings and login information for your university's wifi. (e.g. I need to choose a specific certificate for mine, which happens on all ROMs though).

After a few days using Rom I can say that everything works very well.
The only thing I have to report is the sound volume is low. And the sound quality could be better.

Ok! Here I am after a week's use. (A720F/DS - Battery in good condition according to battery apps - Coming From Korean Pie - Phone has been working for just over 3 years)

The ROM works smooth as butter, almost stock like experience. Haven't experienced any lag spikes.
Coming from Korean Pie, I feel a tiny bit more battery usage. However considering that a little trade off for all the extra features you get with One UI 2.5, I'm totally fine with it. The only area I experienced inconveniences as others mentioned is the fingerprint unlock. On day 2 trying to unlock using fingerprint, after an unresponsive 15 seconds the display turned on and showed a system UI crash pop up. I haven't gotten any other crashes so far but fingerprint sometimes responds with delay.
Moving over to nightly battery drain, it has improved a lot compared to Version 1.1. On previous version battery dropped by at least 35 to 50 percent on nights and I mostly woke up to find the battery dead. (with Wi-Fi on and connected) With the current build, on day 1 the battery dropped by 20 percent over night which I'd say is due to fresh install and the phone was still adapting to usage patterns. Day 2 and onward these are the nightly battery drain results (in % and also with Wi-Fi connected): 15 - 12 - 7 - 9 - 11 - 8 which are normal.
Extended gaming sessions on this ROM results in the device heating up a bit and after about 10 to 15 mins the gameplay gets framey (FPS Drop), especially if your charger is connected. I disabled the physical navigation keys when flashing the ROM so I can use Game Launcher and Tools. One UI 2.5 also comes with two more game related apps called Game Plugins and Game Optimizing Service. These two allow you to customize how each game can utilize your hardware and help reduce lag. Overall if you're planning on extended Gaming on your phone, this ROM might not be for you.

That's all I have to say about my user experience. If I haven't mentioned anything that doesn't work for you, it could be due to any of these:
it's working for me - haven't gotten to test it yet - you have an A5 and it's an A5 related issue (very unlikely)

I hope it helps you if you're looking forward to installing this Rom.

Thank you very much for this awesome rom ! I've been using the last version for a couple of days, it seems pretty stable. No real lags (I think korea rom was a bit smoother but hey), gps and stuff work good.
Only thing I encountered is with the Bluetooth, I connected some speakers but the phone seems to forget it everytime I try to reconnect (I need to pair it manually and the speaker doesn't show up in the saved list).
Again good job 👍

I found another error in the ROM. on the edge screen. when taking screenshot it disappears. So in the screenshot you don't see the edge screen.

    • Boot into recovery, mount /system and delete /system/priv-app/CIDManager folder through the recovery's file manager. (Note that the path may be /system/system/priv-app/CIDManager depending on the recovery used)

    • This mostly happens if you're rooted with Magisk because the system detects that you're rooted and denies DRM. To fix that, install this Magisk Module. Note that DRM will fall back to L3 which means that you won't be able to watch anything in HD.

    UPDATE
    Rise-Q v2.1 is here!

This is mainly a bugfix release, mostly small things (like removing the fingerprint unlock animation), but also some bigger ones. One of those fixes is Secure folder. I have finally been able to get it to work. To bypass issues with secure folder, I highly recommend to install Secure Folder only when doing a clean flash. I won't reply to bugreports from people who dirty flashed and have issues with it.
Apart from that, I have seen multiple users report low media sound since v2.0. I compared the sound volume between v1.0, v1.1 and v2.0 and it sounded 100% identical for me. It may be an issue that comes from dirty flashing v2.0 on top of v1.1, so consider a clean flash first and tell me the exact steps to reproduce.

Finally, as always for a new update, I recommend wiping your system partition before installation to bypass possible issues.

    UPDATE
    Rise-Q v2.0 is here!

At first, I want to thank @ananjaser1211 for his fixes and of course for answering all my stupid questions. Also thanks to @Option58 for upstreaming our kernel to Linux 3.18.140. Finally, huge thanks to all testers on Telegram for even finding the tiniest bugs.
As this release of Rise-Q is now based on OneUI 2.5 from Galaxy Note 10 Lite, dirty flashing it over Rise-Q v1.0 or v1.1 will in most cases not work! It is highly recommended to wipe /data in recovery before installing Rise-Q v2.0.

    GOD bless you MR.Simon1511;
    I hope to see android 11 ui3 for a520f Can I see?

    TANX Dear Friend
Im gonna say this for once so everyone knows about it:
Do NOT expect a OneUI 3 port from me. In my opinion, the added value between OneUI 2.5 and OneUI 3 is too low for the amount of work this would probably need.
Apart from that, there would be 2 major problems:
    1. HWC
    2. Samsung Camera

Our old Pie HWC has been working fine on Pie and Q, but on R Google decided to change HWC related stuff again which makes our Pie HWC incompatible to android 11. And yes, I know that HWC has been fixed on LineageOS 18 for our device, but the fix from there is likely not gonna work on OneUI. In short, this means for you: Broken HWC = very poor performance.
Also samsung camera is gonna be a problem since all(?) newer samsung devices use a newer camera API that is simply incompatible to our "older" camera implementation.

Note that these are just a few big bugs we know about so far, but there would probably be even more that would make a ROM based on that pretty much unusable in my opinion.

So in conclusion: No OneUI 3 for our device(s).

Apart from that, I want to thank everyone once again for all the bugs you found and reported and all your thankfulness!
