How's the ROM holding up? Im looking to try this if the camera is working properly with all 4 of it.
The built in camera is the basic AOSP camera app.

The images came out good using a GCam mod. But, that too just used the main camera.

To be able to use all 4 cameras + 48 MP mode, you may have to look into magisk or flash anx camera zip (or its equivalent). I, personally, haven't tried that.

I didn't exactly understood your issue.

But, when I connect my Bluetooth earphones, I can choose if it's allowed to get access to my contacts and calls.

It works for me me for media apps and calls too.

Any Guide

Is there any guide that helps me install the ROM. I just saw a post here, that a guy bricked his phone while flashing. I don't want to get into any trouble
Also I don't know how to do this properly.
I have currently finished the waiting period of the Mi Unlock Tool. What should I do now?

Follow these steps: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...-0-rom-pixel-experience-t4029281/post81378887

It's one of the simplest installation procedure.
I too installed this ROM fresh after unlocking following these steps without any issues.

Someone has sent a valid guide, but if you're new to this, this is a more complete guide: https://xiaomifirmware.com/guides-and-tips/twrp-recovery-flashing-redmi-note-8/ Unlocking bootloader will erase all your files. Also step 3 (format data) will erase all your files. So make backups.

Can you tell me if this ROM uses Google phone and messaging applications? As I absolutely don't like that apps, I don't want them. I rather the old Xiaomi phone and messaging apps..

This ROM uses the most GApps compared to any other AOSP ROM.

This is meant to duplicate the Pixel UI from Google's Pixel devices and hence the name.

But, even other ROMs such as Paranoid Android uses Google dialer, contacts and messages app.

You can disable the messages app and use any other instead. Same for Phone and contacts apps. But using proprietary MIUI system apps seems impossible without the MIUI framework. But you may look for options in magisk or even Xda for possibilities.

Thanks for the info. Now I'm going to:
  1. Unlock bootloader with Mi Unlock Tool
  2. Flash TWRP using adb
  3. Flash Pixel Experience Rom and follow the guide you linked

Did I miss anything
I 'm sorry if this is too basic  , I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Firstly, never be sorry for being thorough. It's a good quality which more and more people are missing nowadays.

Secondly, in step 2 you will flash/install twrp via fastboot and not adb.

Adb is used when the device is in Power On mode.
Fastboot is used when you boot into special partition/block to flash core level items such as the recovery, kernel or a whole new system (a different ROM, such as this one).

Hey guys,

I am currently on the Pixel Experience Feb 2020 version, I want to update to the June update as the in software updater isn't working. Do I need a "Full Package" or "Incremental Package"?

Thanks new Developer for taking over, very appreciated!

So basically it is what you wrote.

Installing twrp might be problematic as it is which is more "code based", yet once you go past that step, it is simply

- put the ROM (and magisk) in your phone,
- press volume up and power to get in twrp,
- wipe system and dalvik and what not,
- and install the ROM (and magisk if you want).

When written it seems hard maybe, but you'll do it once and you won't worry ever again.

First of all, let me say that I should have read closely the first page, because in there says that this ROM uses the google apps.
Thank you arnabj for answering me.
The main reason that I choose the Xiaomi EU in first place, is because that ROM come with Xiaomi apps for dialer, contacts and messaging. Unfortunetly I think that they aren't working on RN8T ROM, because, not Android 10 and not even MIUI12 is avaiable for the phone.
I know I can use a third party app, but it is not what I wanted...

I replied, thinking that you want an AOSP ROM to replace MIUI.

Xiaomi.EU could be a valid option didn't crossed my mind and hence my suggestion of third party apps.

Hello guys, thread is open now. And i hope new build will come with february patch but before that I would request everyone to have patience within them, As personally for me, I come from Xiaomi Redmi 5 (rosy) so comparing ginkgo to rosy things are very much different. So to be honest it will take me some time to adapt to this device and help with some contributions also due to college and various projects I am having less time to catch things but I will again request everyone to wait for things run properly.
