Feel free to go back to MIUI 12 then. v185 works fine. v190 has been reported not to work. It's not the ROMs fault so please keep this discussion out of my thread.
i am writing this after 24 hours of unlocking bootloader and installing this rom.
i switched back to miui 12
the performance was great in this rom and also i love the stock and bloatfree experience
How i installed:
1.. unlocked bootloader
2. flashed twrp
3. format data
5. flashing in order: rom, fcrypt disabler, magisk
after this i did the setup and when i did a restart my lockscreen brightness was going all the way up! and rebooting again wasnt fixing it
in twrp i noticed something strange that in my computer when i opened the phone it was showing 3 internal storages (fixed with formatting data again) (this happened 2 times)
i had to flash stock rom which fixed the problem
so my question is was i doing something wrong while flashing rom or it was because of magisk?
my phone is new and i still took the risk cz i wanted to have stock experience but it didnt go pretty well
please help me!
Yes, I too thought it weird how the phone only vibrated but didn't unlock. But then someone posted that you have to enable it in Settings -> Security -> Screen lock (click on the gear icon) -> screen off fingerprint. Then it works. What about fp on screen off?? Not work. No icon and no light when i put my finger on. Latest version rom.
Work like a charm.. Thnx a lot. I search for solution but didn't find it.Yes, I too thought it weird how the phone only vibrated but didn't unlock. Hey Dev, Great ROM and it feels great to come back to the same ROM as my previous phone. There's a slight problem I'm facing. Every 30mins or so the phone does a soft reboot. Can anyone help me to resolve this problem?
Apparently you forgot to flash the right fw/vendor to your K20 Pro version, or have you just not metioned it?
If you haven't flashed, you should. It's an essential step to make everything working. There is a link with all the versions of fw/vendor files in this thread. It's easy to find it.
Do you know for sure what type of k20 pro you have (chinese, indian, global, etc.)? What is the name of the vendor firmware file you flashed before flashing the rom? Which partitions did you wipe before flashing? Is the phone getting hot before the reboot?
I didn't wipe the vendor since it wasn't in the instructions, I have the chinese version, and I wiped the internal storage since twrp had some mounting problems, but other than that I did the same and it worked. I recommend you double check the phone version (since some sellers might flash a different version ROM, like a chinese phone flashed with global MIUI), but other than that I can't really help you more...Hey, I have the Indian variant and I flashed Raphael IN vendor 126.96.36.199QFKINXM before flashing. I wiped Dalvik, Cache, Data, System and vendor before flashing the ROM. I wiped everything first, then flashed the vendor file and then the ROM file. It didn't get hot before reboot also. Is there anything I did wrong?
The AOD FOD is amazingly accurate, but the battery life tanks with the AOD on. Will this be addressed in the next release?
Joeyhuab works for free on this project because he wants to, so there might not even be a next release. Thankfully he has been making many releases with new improvements, but I think he already has plenty of things on his plate, so if you want to fix something specific you can either do it yourself, or just wait until he or someone else wants to do it. So just check on the changelogs often to see if this was addressed, but no promises. Besides, I believe AOD was a battery drain even on MUI, so it might not even be possible to improve it much. For now you can disable AOD and enable double tap to wake, which for me at least works almost as well (specially with the screen off FOD that he recently added) and has no battery issues, or try to see if some other ROM has an AOD with a lesser impact on battery.
The 190 build works fine, but it's breaks the phone's auto brightnessFor me ANX Camera v190 works fine (flashed via magisk). Didn't test it so much, but no issues like crashes were found in my experience.
Still, i prefer default camera provided by Evo ROM - ANX appearance is less friendly in my opinion.
