[ROM][10.0][rolex] Lineage OS 17.1 Unofficial

Something isn't right with this rom.
The kernel version is 3.18(Oreo)
The android version is 10(Pie)
And the play store detects phone's android version as 6.0
Doesn't make sense at all!

I know android can run different version over different kernel version
But please provide good detail at the thread start.

And please don't take this as complaint.
I'm just trying to keep up with this fast moving android world.

Kenzo - Redmi Note 3, does not have enforcing still but we do and it is huge progress. You can download apps from apkmirror site what they unaccessible on google play like the google phone app.

In the Mobile Network setup the choice "MMS: send and receive MMS when mobile data is deactivated" has disappeared. Can you reactivate this option? Thanks in advance and congratulations for the best rom for me!

I doesn't have option to hide gboard app in the launcher.

And yeah great rom I'm so happy I think to donate you for cup of a cafe. Give me some time!

I could not pair bluetooth devices thru smartlock if they disconnected. I checked on wifi adb cause without that idea adb usb just pass.

Once I could not open any app after heavy usage it was night and I was tired when I discover it. Next time you will get logcat.

Right now camera works perfect and I do not have problem with callings like freezing proximity sensor

ROM works better than stock MIUI ROM

Hi, I installed the ROM today. I was trying to install Magisk as well. Following what is in Knowing Your Device I did

As far as I know, Google pay doesn't work on rooted phones. That's why I was wondering.

first time i try lineage and i'm very pleased..
i have one problem. i install magisk and after reboot from twrp i have black screen (after mi logo)

edit: my fault. wrong recovery i used. i install thw version of first post, dirty flash rom and magisk then. all ok.

I'm missing a lot of whatsapp/facebook/messenger notifications when they are in background. My assumption is that they aren't syncing data when in background as often as they should. Has this happened to anyone else?

Edit: Turns out the culprit was adaway, fixed it by whitelisting relevant servers
In whatsapp notification settings, the option "Popup notification" isn't available (greyed out).

Any ideas why?

Installed this a few days back. A big upgrade to MIUI. Mobile had became sluggish on MIUI.

1. I installed TWRP from OP. it probably messed up something as it read internal memory 0mb. Couldn't boot to miui. After playing with the phone, only thing that worked was installing the lineage. I had extened internal memory to sd card and probably that's what caused the issue.
2. I love me some Lineage OS very much. The lastest version I installed is pretty much bug free. Smoooooth and fast. Extended internal memory to SD card.
3. Haven't rooted. Banking apps like google pay and paytm work fine. Battery backup is better than MIUI. No issue with bluetooth whatsoever. It can also chromecast.
4. There's some bug with built in camera app. It keeps crashing. Installed google cam go version and that's working for now. There's a full version google cam available for this device and it can take do night sight. Portrait mode works.
5. Vanced youtube 15.xx kept crashing. 14.xx is working alright.
6. Torch is disabled. It works through camera though.
7. It had two soft restarts when I was fiddling with wifi settings.
8. Mobile network range has dropped a lot from symbol. However I think it's cosmetic. There's no trouble with calling. Using Jio network.

Hi @lockhrt999, thanks for sharing your experience with this ROM.
The #6 (Torch disabled) it's a well known bug. I think it was @wasay.65 the first person that describes it here:
In the first boot (after flash) torch works. But, it's common to see people complaining about "torch stopped to work" and "default camera app crash". AFAIK, this is related to some bug on the booting process. Sometimes it boots fine and the flashlight is enabled via the default system switch, but sometimes it just boots with something broken and all apps that uses the default system switch to use the flashlight (torch) fails or glitch (camera apps/payment apps/scanner apps...).

So, to "solve" this I'm just rebooting the system and check if the torch works, if not, reboot again and check again until it "magically" works. Sometimes you get it working on the first boot, sometimes you need to reboot it a lot of times, seems random.
I know, it's annoying. But, since you got it working it's fine. You`ll the annoyed only if you need to reboot it again.
It will the wonderful if someone find a way to solve this permanently.
