AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX experience with useful customizations. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth experience. We have added useful customizations from various other open-source projects and have tried to keep our things simple. A ROM by a user, for a user. #BeExtended

#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. We aim to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think. ... AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM ... with useful customizations ...
Many thanks @mernurisha for this, liking it very much. So far, my biggest complaint is being unable to have clock at center position of notification/status bar. You know it's good when worst thing is this trivial. However, it took alot of effort to get Contacts working, and I still have to figure out why Phone force closes. (Most likely due to my dirty flashing AEX upon Danil's j33 build of LOS-16, or the fact that I have no SIM card in it.) I love the way double tap on statusbar to sleep works, best response ever of any ROM on any of my four S4mini's (tho 3 of them are original, non-VE type). I also like the way that Device Theme gets carried over to Contacts, Messaging, etc.

Thank you for your work! I am using the AospExtended-v7.2-serranovelte-20200529-1904-UNOFFICIAL.zip version, and it is very good.
So far I got some errors:
- Lost photos. I took two photos with the newest Opencamera, and I cannot found them.
- Somebody called me and I didn't heard it, after that I got a missed call.

Download: AospExtended-v7.3-serranovelte-20200725-1443-UNOFFICIAL

- LiveDisplay support
- Security patch level july 2020
I love your work and effort you put into it.
Ok, here's what I did a few days ago (for those who aren't familiar with rom flashing):
  • had a good run with lineage-17.1-20200209-UNOFFICIAL-serranovelte before flashing AOSP
  • downloaded all the files on the inserted sd card
  • from twrp: wiped and formated everything but sdcard
  • flashed AospExtended-v7.2-serranovelte-20200706-1527-UNOFFICIAL
(I didn't know the successor would be out some days later)
  • flashed GApps-pico-20200718 and new twrp 3.4
  • another wipe
  • booted system and used Googles restore functions
  • installed some apks from fdroid or own backups
  • booted into twrp and installed Magisk 20.4
  • adaway activation and a good bunch of other configurations
Pros:
  • with 50 user and 200 system apps only 1,8Gb is used of the Data partition
  • quick to boot and low on resources (my impression)
  • pixel shut down option via SmartPixel integrated
  • EDIT: great battery running time
Cons:
  • something happed to the color profil, vibrancy is hurting my eyes
  • 2.4GHz issue still remains (but doesn't affect me, yet)
  • EDIT: power menu boot into recovery not working

Would likes:
  • some help with getting a kernel that works with ScreenColorControl
    com.smartpack.colorcontrol
    They call it KCAL/K-lapse support.
  • EDIT: AudioFX as in Lineage

The rom has LiveDisplay support from the source.
However, in the next build the kernel will have KCAL support.

What exactly means 2.4GHz issue still remains? Sorry, I do not understand this issue.
With my wlan router at home have good wlan connection in 2.4GHz and 5GHz ( maybe we are talking about two different things ).

Hey, wow, I'd love to test their saturation control. Seems rather fixed on a phone otherwise.

Same here, but I had to activate the router's 5 GHz because of this phone. I never understood what's wrong with the phone's 2.4GHz. Slow or no performance, yet in rare cases normal function. Because of what Christihan wrote, I hope it's not hardware related
Everything works well including wifi in the 2.4 Ghz band which on Android 10 never worked for me until this build. This was the reason why I gave up another excellent ROM made by you ... PixelExperience_Plus which apart from wifi worked perfectly. ...
Though, his and mine still could be from a hardware-faulty batch.

So I will try the latest Lineage soon. If I'm lucky, its kernel comes with KCAL support

I will upload one of my favorite rom ( ColtOS ) here to test this evening.
This rom has some changes and kernel has KCAL support.
Wait if you're interested.

Yes and very smooth and stable in combination with BiTGApps. :good:
First time I heard about. I'll have a look into them at the next flash.

Thanks for KCAL, I just reduced saturation from 50 to 20, now my eyes feel more comfortable.

Wow, this ColtOS is wonderful! Took me many trials before it would work with my portable SD card. Had the same trouble with AEX, requiring the card to be reformatted, which I certainly do not want to do. But I got AEX to work with my card by dirty flashing it upon a restored image that was okay with the portable card (namely, Danil's j33 build of LOS-16). And just now, I finally got ColtOS to recognize my card by dirty flashing it upon AEX v7.3, didn't even wipe dalvik/cache. This somehow sort of grandfather'd in my card, I guess; along with lots of other settings. ColtOS is the best ROM yet, many thanks @mernurisha !
