Read post number 17, specifically the part stating that you must format (not wipe) data partition because the new builds are encrypted.
Thank you very much for your answer.
I really liked HavocOS.
But maybe I should switch to LineageOS?
What do you recommend as a developer?

I fixed the encryption issues I had with some of the builds so I have re-released version 3.7. https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip/download

This has a vendor mismatch warning from cold boot, it doesn't create any problems and you can safely ignore it. I should have it fixed in the next update.
I got the vendor mismatch assumed it was my fault, but also a constant NFC error until I disable NFC is it related?

Everything else does seem to work.

All of my builds are now encrypted so you will still have to format your data partition to install them. Let us try an alternative method of installation, this assumes you have access to a PC with working adb

Encryption does not work with OrangeFox, you must use TWRP. If you switched to F2FS you must use my unofficial TWRP (download) or if you are still on EXT4 then official TWRP is fine.

  • Boot into recovery mode.
  • Select Advanced tab
  • Select ADB Sideload and swipe to activate
  • Connect phone to PC
  • Open a terminal window and type:
    Code:
    adb sideload Havoc-OS-v3.7-20200713-andromeda-Unofficial.zip
  • Once the ROM has been flashed, then select Wipe menu
  • Select Advanced Wipe (bottom left)
  • Wipe Dalvik, Cache and Data
  • WARNING: You will lose all of your files on internal storage in the next step, make a backup first
  • Go back to Wipe menu and select Format Data (bottom right)
  • Type yes to confirm your choice
  • Reboot system

Did you get Havoc installed with my alternative method?

This new version is just previous version with gapps built in. It does have two minor fixes compared to previous version:
Vendor mismatch warning has been removed.
Charging battery with phone switched off now works properly.

Thanks for the answer.
But I didn't understand why an alternative method is needed if I still need to format the data section?
You wrote on 4pda forum about your trouble installing, so I provided an alternative method which I hoped would work for you. I suggest you join the Mix 3 5G telegram chat (https://t.me/mimix3_5G) there are plenty of Russian speakers in the group if you need help :)

I installed new firmware 3.7 but the camera is not working. What to do?

The battery life since switching to this ROM has been great. Only issue I have at the minute is with Android auto.

When it's open the whole phone lags and the display on the car aswell. As soon as the app is closed the phone goes back to normal.

Any ideas if there's a way to fix this?

with 3.6 it would show 5g/4g when in the area. now with 3.7 all i get is 4g+.
using Havoc-OS-v3.7-20200803-andromeda-Unofficial-GApps.zip.
i already applied the modem firmware. from the linageOS forum, i think some people are having the same problems with 5g not actually displaying when in a 5g area.

Havoc is my personal daily driver, got no issues with 5G here.

in the pictures there's a 90hz option, does that actually work?
Have you read or searched the thread for the answer to your question?

Havoc is now official! 4k recording support is now in the stock camera, and google camera ports are now working. I've tested this port and apart from telephoto lens (causes a crash if selecting a different lens) everything is working (4k, 60fps, astrophotograhpy, etc)
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1306/

No OTA support yet, but the main ROM dev is working on getting it added in.

Vanilla version (no gapps included) https://bit.ly/2PXmdiP
