The standard AOSP dialer in the ROM has call record function. If you install Google Dialer (play store or stock gapps package) then the function is restricted depending on what country you are in.

This problem with false positives happens on stock ROMs as well. When I owned a Zuk Z1, loads of apps thought the stock ZUI was a rooted custom ROM. Not a lot can be done about it because each app uses it's own detection method and the companies that make these apps obviously aren't going to broadcast the detection methods they use.

You may have success running these apps by actually rooting your phone and using Magisk Hide on the apps that don't work.

Depends on the bank. Some work and some don't. I can't speak for banks around the world, but I use 3 UK banks and this is my experience:
Natwest bank works fine. whether rooted or not.
Barclays bank works fine if I root and use Magisk Hide.
Metro bank doesn't work at all, rooted or not. Doesn't matter, I can just use the web based version instead.

Your mileage will vary of course. Going forward, if Google do roll out full hardware based safety net attestation then it's likely that no banking app will work on any custom ROM. https://www.xda-developers.com/safetynet-hardware-attestation-hide-root-magisk/

Tried to flash the latest july 10th build over the june 30th one (that one was clean flashed due to enabled encryption) but it will just boot into recovery after a while on the los boot screen. Flashed over the older one and it works again. Any ideas how to upgrade to the latest build? I use magisk and it keeps force encrypt so theoretically it should be fine :/

I had some feedback that there is something wrong with this build, so I've taken it down while I investigate. Will update the thread a bit later.

with instructions, if you nuke the system and vendor partition, then format data you need to reboot into recovery, the device hangs because theres no system OS. Is that normal?

I had the same problem @m4r0v3r. I sorted it out using adb push.

After formatting everything according to the instruction, instead of restarting the phone without any system, just connect it to the computer. Run adb demon and check if you have connectivity with the phone.

If you do, then use

adb push rom_name /sdcard

and it should transfer it to the phone.

Please check if that solution works for you and if it is, I will ask the thread owner to kindly add this solution to the instructions

The remap function doesn't work correctly. You can remap short press but not long press, so until I figure out how to fix it properly it's set to the default which is short press for search and long press for assistant.

i remember trying this with no luck. but i cant actually remember what issue presented afterwards. ive bought another mi mix 3 5g so will see if i can setup lineage on that when I receive it.

how to remap the short press? tried thru settings but doesn't work, the default short/long presses not working for me neither. What I've noticed is when I pull down the notification menu then short press the notification menu slides back up.

1) only thing not working for me is the physical button to the left, which is normally used for google speech.
2) quite good, I'll attach one of my battery usage pics

I got no problem with headphones here.

Stock LineageOS Snap camera can't do 60fps or 4k recording. There are plenty of camera apps on the play store that have these options.
If you want to use GCam then this port is the most compatible with andromeda, it can do 1080p/60fps and 4k/30fps video recording.
This GCam port does not work with selfie camera at all, you must use the built in Snap cam for that. My suggestion would be to set the slider to open the default camera app and to have have GCam on your home screen.

In my latest test builds I managed to get 4k/30fps recording working in the lineageos camera app. I've used an app from the playstore called Cinema4K which does 4k/60fps but it is a paid app. Some users have suggested installing ANX camera with the 48mp fix, in case you weren't aware ANX camera is MIUI camera ported to AOSP.
