Thanks, I receive now SBAS PRN 125 (SDCM) and PRN 126 (EGNOS).
But two things nagging me:
1.) GPS not running when in flight mode:
Today I've found out GPS worked always and maybe never needed a fix. My fault was the activated flight mode! GPS is a receive only technology. So why disable it when using flight mode? Old ROMs work that way, e.g. lineage-14.1-20171222 from user cpetig.
2.) SBAS really in use for better position accuracy?
Thanks to your latest fix for improved GPS position accuracy I receive now SBAS satellites PRN 125 and PRN 126. Your picture says PRN 38 which AFAIK doesn't exist (look here for SBAS PRN list, there is no PRN 38 because all are 1xx ). PRN 126 is in test mode and shouldn't be used (look here). And PRN 125 is the russian SDCM. However GPSTEST never says to this satellites "in use". "Used satellites" for position fix become white using App GpsTest, others don't. Maybe it's an Android problem and no rom specific problem? Bottom line: Are SBAS satellites used for better position accuracy or not?

I like this ROM really a lot! However, I would like to update my July version.
How is this done without loosing all the apps and settings and preferences?

Dirty flash?
(What does dirty flash mean? Installing without prior wiping?)

Yes, dirty flash. No wipes, no nothing, just flash rom in twrp

should not be slower. Which wipes did you do before flashing? Which gapps did you flash?

True, I wiped: Dalvik, Data, Internal Storage, Cache and System.

Is there an easy way to correct or do I have to wipe and flash again? In case I have to go for the last option: what's best for root to install titanium backup so I can backup settings?

I found 2 methods:
-easiest since I have opengapps: just flash smaller package on top of bigger package, this should uninstall parts of the bigger package
-wipe only system partition and flash rom again, then smaller gapps

Both options should keep apps and settings. Is this correct? Any (dis)advantages/preferences to either?

The best option is clean install always.
For root there is only magisk. Forget about anything else.

Hi Overthere,
have flashed 0ctober version directly after release, wiped everything and installed GApps Pico. Two things I noticed in the last weeks:
- the phone starts lagging and inputs get unresponsive randomly
- GPS is bad compared to 4.4.2 and my running app is always complaining "gps too weak" (I'm livin' in Germany if that makes any difference)
- I use Blokada and have the impression that maybe some of Googles UI is tryin' to phone home.

Anybody got a clue on both issues?

SD not recognized

Hello,
Thank you @ mernurisha! for this LOS 17.1 version. it works very well. The only problem is that the SD card is not recognized as external memory. I add that I was able to format it as internal storage and was able to move apps to external memory, but the system no longer sees it after booting or restarting. Can you help me?

First of all: Thanks mernurisha - I have been enjoying 16.0 and it actually enabled me to continue using that mobile (serranovelte or GT-I1995I)- there is software I rely on which refused to run on Kitkat 4.4.4.

I recently got a new sim-card (Freenet FUNK) which offers 1GB/day or unlimited via LTE. It works on 16.0 - after upgrading (dirty or not - I tried both) to 17.1 (20201012) however - I cannot bring LTE to work. I get SMS about mobile being configured, but no Internet (cell phone calls/SMS work).

I found one entry in this thread about mobile network not working and did as suggested reset APN - to no avail. I´d be happy to supply more information. Just tell me what is needed and maybe how to get it. Or maybe I missed something?

I have one phone on 17.1 still - while the one I need access Internet with was put back to 16.0.

So no need to hurry. Maybe others have some input on LTE? It cannot be me the only one with that problem, or can it?

Try this:
- reset APNs
- delete all, leave only your Internet and MMS (Freenet FUNK)
- choose your internet APN and reboot the phone
