The ROM works great, including mobile data, except for GPS. Does anyone else also have a problem getting GPS signal?
Hmm, let me testThe ROM works great, including mobile data, except for GPS. Does anyone else also have a problem getting GPS signal?
No issues with the camera, just is a little simple (I've tried once a gcam with HDR + bookeh effect, would be nice that your ROM have too).Thanks for the feedback, any issues with the camera? Also, today's build has different netmgr blobs so I'm hoping it will still work for you if you decide to update.
* ROM sources updated
* Updated camera HAL from deen Q
** fixes HAL3 one photo bug
* Reverted rear camera libraries
** fixes green tint when using the flash
** fixes image being too dark
* Reverted QMI blobs
** should fix GPS
* Reverted netmgr
** should make mobile data work with the reverted QMI blobs
This was happening on past build, but maybe it will work on lastest build.New build is up:
lineage-17.1-20200824-UNOFFICIAL-montana.zip
Changelog:
The recording bug still persists, and I had to touch QMI blobs yet again to fix GPS, so more connectivity-related bugs might appear.
@[email protected] Thanks for reporting, both bugs should be fixed now.
@ARJNMRLON I can't reproduce this. Which build has this occured on? Have you clean flashed this ROM? If not, try a clean flash of the latest build. Please upload a logcat if the issue persists.
@DHDDS With today's build you should be able to use any HAL3-enabled camera app.
No, but it looks like dirty flashing LOS 17 over LOS 16 without a wipe can help if RIL is completely broken for you (IMEI 0, no SIM card detected etc.). A clean flash works for me and most users, someone a few pages back even flashed this ROM coming from stock Oreo.This was happening on past build, but maybe it will work on lastest build.
Did I have to flash Los 16 before 17.1?
Also thanks for the new build

It should work, but it wasn't tested. I always wipe everything but data and then reinstall everything (ROM, GApps and Magisk).Can I dirty flash it over the previous build ?
Ok, I'll take a full backup and dirty flash it.It should work, but it wasn't tested. I always wipe everything but data and then reinstall everything (ROM, GApps and Magisk).
The default seems to be to leave it as it is, I decrypted my device before and did not get encrypted while running this ROM. The default wipe in TWRP does not remove encryption (just deletes all files) so most likely your data partition was already encrypted on your previous ROM.
Ok, I'll take a full backup and dirty flash it.
By default everything's encrypted, Is there any way to disable encryption in Android 10? This maybe a noob question but I got no logical answers online.

Taking pictures is working fineAm I the only one who still has camera issues? (video recording after some time and general image quality).
Besides that evrerything is working fine.
(Battery life feels a little shorter compared to Los16 but this might be a misconception)
I was able to achieve mobile communication without lowering the bootloader, using a modem from Oreo on both ZUI and nougat. It's possible. there was another problem the fingerprint sensor on the modem from Oreo does not work. Do you have a fingerprint sensor running in the nougat loader +Oreo modem system?The way I did it was I have never ever installed stock Oreo. I left the factory Nougat firmware untouched (or maybe I updated it a bit, I can't remember; but definitely nothing newer than the latest Nougat) and only flashed the modem and fsg from Oreo, the modem is the least of what's required for the fingerprint scanner to work. If you already installed stock Oreo then you would need to downgrade to achieve this.
The only main differences are:Hello and big thanks @AsD Monio for the hard work and this fine Release. I would like to know what are the main Differences between this build and the one from @JarlPenguin.
Is there any chance to see a build of https://lineage.microg.org/, for privacy reasons and because i believe in a world of open source software i would love to get rid of the gapps and their privacy policy.
Thanks for the quick reply.The only main differences are:
SELinux: Enforcing
Moto Actions location in Settings app
Fingerprint gestures location in Settings app
Current VNDK
We use different device, kernel and vendor trees for our builds.
MicroG builds are only built for devices with official LineageOS.
