Here's a drop of the AQ variant for T510XXU3BTFN, the new Android 10 OEM firmware release. There is an issue right now with the custom kernel not working with the OEM system, but the Nexus builds seem to be working fine. Also, Samsung seems to have made a change in the bootloader preventing the main logo.jpg in the param.bin from being picked up, so you won't see the Nexus logo on boot. However, it is picking up the other two custom images that dial back the scary bootloader unlock warnings. Finally, the latest OpenGApps Stock variant posted is almost a month old, and there's no indication when those will return.

This is a pretty major update, and so I'm posting it here first for early adopters. If the rollout goes smoothly, I'll update in the OP.

Downloads:
Based on AOSP 10.0:

Change Log:
20200807:
  • Based on AOSP GSI v222 (20200806) with August 2020 security patch.
  • Includes patches to provide simple theme configuration section in Settings > Display, add Recovery to power menu, and match Pixel appearance.
  • Updated to the new Android 10 OEM kernel and vendor partition (T510XXU3BTFN).
  • Updated to latest stable 10.0 release of OpenGapps Stock variant (20200714).

Now that's an update! Thanks OP! Got SD card working as well with latest update. The only annoyance is to have Widevine L1 but only watching Prime Video and Netflix in SD quality, but man, the tablet runs amazingly well compared with Samsung One UI stock.

Hello,

I installed the latest update (coming from previous version) and got stuck in a bootloop. Thought it was because my system is quite heavily modded I should wipe my system, data and do a clean flash. However even after doing that it's still stuck in a bootloop. To add to that, I still see the nexus logo, even though it shouldn't be there anymore (?). Has anyone else experienced this?

Did you install the Android 10 OEM firmware (T510XXU3BTFN) first? This custom ROM is intended to be installed over that release.

Thank you. No, I did not. I didn't have any knowledge of this. I'll go download and install the firmware now. I Will report later on, but I believe it should work.

EDIT: Installed and works fine now. No issues after that.

Please, where i found it (OEM firmware), thanks. I stuck in boot too and installed previously release back, but some issues there (no charging, when tablet is not power off, no connect to PC, is fixed in new update?). Thanks

thanks!

Also I heard that Legion (OS?) + infinity kernel works well on the T510, so i tried flashing it as a system image in twrp after installing this rom (August build that magendanz uploaded a couple days ago), but i keep getting stuck in a bootloop.
Have u tried this and do you think it's worth me flashing legion or should i just flash infinity on this nexus rom?
I had this issue. I formatted data BEFORE flashing the Legion system image. Works great, especially with Infinity kernel.

Sorry I'm not sure I follow :/

This is what I did:
1) Unlock bootloader
2) enter download mode
3) install nexus tar file to AP with Odin
4) in TWRP, format data
5) reboot to system
6) skip setup and confirm usb debugging and oem unlock are on
7) boot to twrp
8) copy legion system image to ext sd
9) wipe dalvik cache, cache, data and system in advanced wipe
10) flash legion img as system image
11) resize sytem partition
12) (staying in TWRP) flash gapps

Where have I gone wrong :(

Wipe again and reflash Legion image. Let it boot to setup to make sure Legion is working. Then reboot to TWRP and try a different gapps.

but when i flash the legion image and press reboot to system, it says no OS installed.
I'll try it again and let u know if it worked or not.
BTW are you using the latest build of Nexus that Magendanz uploaded a couple days ago? and also does it even matter what version of nexus is being used?

Well, at least you proven the problem is with Legion and not gapps. You shouldn't need gapps installed in order to boot. I haven't installed the latest Nexus yet. I usually wait a little while to see what problems others report. But it shouldn't matter what ROM you had previously. The wipe should have deleted it. It's been a while since I tried Legion, so maybe someone currently using it can help.

Please take this to a forum on Legion OS. This one is a discussion for my Nexus Stock custom ROM.

So, I install new OEM ROM from Samsung and then last version of Nexus ROM and everything working good, thanks. Even sd card is visible and working on PC, but i still have only one issue - charging working only when device is off - do you have same error or its something wrong in my piece? Thanks for answers and tips.

Its strange, because on my device when is on and connect charger-nothing. And is brand new instalation with format data and etc... its mystery :( (In off mode device charging normally ok)
Edit: mystery solved! Reason is charger, because I use from Mi Note 10 and until that time, charging in online mode normally, so i try change charger with weaker and voila - this combination working properly in online mode.
