Need an advice

I have just installed the ROM, but there is no keyboard preinstalled. I can not log in into WiFi and the Tablet says "Phone is starting" all the time. Am I doing something wrong? I used Nexus_Stock_AQ_T510XXU2ASK5-20200315 ROM and the newest OpenGApps opengapps-arm-10.0-pico-20200407.

There is no need to install OpenGApps.

First of all, Nexus Stock includes the stock variant of OpenGApps, so installing the pico variant on top of it is only going to cause problems. My recommendation is to revert to the unmodified custom ROM, format the data partition, and see how that goes. If you want to make further changes from there, knock yourself out...but don't be surprised if you break something.

No, but it could be easily adapted for the SM-T515. I just don't have the hardware to test it. If you do and are interested in building for it, drop me a PM.

Just installed the rom and it's had great performance, but I ran into the problem of no sound being picked up by the microphone, this is problematic for me as I need to use my device for online classes and conferences, it's weird because google assistant voice recognition works, but when recording video sound is mute.

Great rom overall, hope the issue can get fixed soon, maybe it's happening to me only, but I followed the procedure (format data and installation through TWRP). If you need any log file I can provide you with, just tell me

Edit: tried reinstalling and problem persists. Also tried mictest app to test the microphone and it does work indeed, but revoking permissions for apps that are not picking up sound (instagram, camera) and later giving permission back does not.

I've tested on Duo and the voice recording is working fine. And as you pointed out, Google Assistant is working. Those are really the only two apps on the custom ROM that record audio. Which specific third-party voice recording app are you having problems with? (I obviously don't test every app.)

Camera recorder and other camera recorder related apps. I'm gonna try editing build.prop

Edit: tried editing build.prop to no avail:

ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=none persist.audio.fluence.voicerec=true persist.audio.fluence.speaker=false use.voice.path.for.pcm.voip=true

Edit 2: also tried with previous versions of the rom and with nexus 9.0, but I faced the same problems. So I'm returning to stock for now, but is a great rom, much smoother and less sluggish than samsung's

Now I can't put the right rom, I go into download mode, I connect Odin and I do everything as explained but it gives error as in the image 2. I already installed TWRP, I tried everything and I couldn't, could you help me?

Thank you sooo much for the ROM. Though I loved One UI, the stock ROM was sufferring alot and sluggish due to very limited RAM availability.

This fixed that issue to a very great extent and the ROM has minimum bugs too! Some of the bugs I have noticed other than the ones in the first post were:
1) random reboots during early morning(scared me one night when I woke up to use the bathroom). It reboots every morning.. searched for all possible settings.
2) Few personalization settings does not work.
3) AudioFX does not work for me neither did viper4android

But other than these 2, the user experience is amazing, smooth, fast and has extremely less app crashes(only pubg crashes sometimes - I assume it has to do with the 2gb RAM because after using memory swapper[128mb / 15% swap] while playing pubg seems to correct that issue).

If only Samsung had given atleast 3(or)4GB of RAM, this tab would've been the perfect tab for the budget.

Flash the original Samsung Stock ROM which you can download using SamFirm, and repeat the process with the correct custom ROM

Contradiction in terms. If you had done everything right, you wouldn't be getting an error. And seeing a photo of the screen isn't what's needed. What was the tablet running the last time it was OK? What EXACT steps did you take from there to get you where you are now?

You can't revert back to stock Samsung ROM? Have you downloaded the firmware directly from Samsung? Are you using the latest version of Odin?

If you want to insert photo:

Click on "Reply" to reply to the message and scroll down a little.
You will find "Attach Files" - " Mange Attachments", there you can attach your photo.

I think the problem may be in the memory, because my first attempt was with the wrong rom, it may be necessary to clean everything up. the problem was to try the 510 rom on 515. i bought this tablet in paraguay, it can be from china or vietnam .. are they all the same or not?

Help

I downloaded the correct version for the t515, put in download mode, odin 3.14 and the error appears. I don't know what else to do .. I haven't had a tablet for more than a month. can someone remotely access to help me? I don't know if it crashed because of the first attempt with the wrong rom, I did it with the 510 and I can't put the 515 back. kernel problem? in the central memory?
