Hi,

Does anyone know if Encryption works with this rom ? If not initially, how about if I use twrp first and then switch to Orangefox and then install this rom.
I think I read thats what worked for Lineageos - would that work here ?

All custom roms for this device are encrypted as default

Sorry, I'm getting confused.

I thought you had to run the following from twrp, to ensure that the ROM would work properly.

fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification


Are you saying that all custom roms for RN8Pro have their partitions encrypted and working, by default ? Is there an issue with twrp not supporting encryption, is there a link ?

We don't need to disable verity and verification on vbmeta partition since custom roo already patch vbmeta and all of begonia custom recovery support encryption

if I recall correctly, the kernel is made by the same dev. and logically he added in on his ROM. nice combo!

I haven't been able to get MMS or data working with 4G/3G yet but I think it is a problem on the carrier's end. Outgoing/incoming calls and texts work fine for me.

Also having a problem with the internal storage being encrypted, is there a way to flash a begonia ROM without it encrypting the internal storage? I don't mind it being encrypted but the problem is I also don't know how to decrypt and access the internal drive so it's causing all kinds of functionality problems (apps not download, updating, saving, etc)! Any ideas?

Yup 4G data is also not working in pixel experience as I tried but you can tried cesium os and tell me is data working on it or not. And if you want to remove encryption than only you need to format data before/after flashing rom by typing yes. Its your choice when you need to format data but it is compulsory if you face encryption problem. And make sure you make backup in SD Card or your pc because format wipe everything in your internal storage.

Yup it will be decrypted if you format all. But I don't know that format is needed before flashing rom or after flashing rom. So let me know how you format before flashing the rom zip file or after it.
