0516 build out now. I'll probably have to clean flash this over my 0502 build.

But if anyone tries to dorty flash 0516 over 0502, do let us know.

I tried to do it, through the built in updaterr. couldn't decrypt data (password incorrect) (TWRP 3.6.0_10 surya).

But you should always make a backup via TWRP before flashing a new ROM.

And how does one do this when nandroid backups aren't possible with Android 12? Flashing ROMs suddenly becomes like Russian Roulette.

Clean flashed (see previous message). Works perfectly. Haven't encountered the previous issue where the phone would just hang after a while / heavy usage. So far it's ' bug free ' .

You can still do a "data" partition backup.
If you want to replay it, then first install the ROM (zip-file) via TWRP and then reestablish the data partition from your backup.
For me this worked fine.
Therefore I have no problem in testing other ROMs and getting back to the former state.

I tried too.

So I had 0502 19.1 along with the 0502 Leneage Recovery. I updated through the OTA feature. It rebooted to the Lineage recovery and flashed the update.

After that it rebooted and I got boot loop back and forth to the Loneage recovery asking me to format my data.

Oh well, I've read here that versions after 0502 will have to be flashed clean because there was an issue with the updater.

Now I'm on 0516 I hope I won't have to clean install the next one.

Not using Lineage anymore, but it was at least 15-20% better on 19.

It's not messed up, that's a feature. Telephone service is using location constantly probably because of Nearby feature or something similar + other factors.
The issue is that it prevents showing the location indicator for other apps as it's constantly occupied by location access of Telephone services.

It's blacklisted aka fixed on ArrowOS. It's just the matter of time & will if LineageOS will fix it too.

Never mind. Today, I had 2 of the same freeze-crashes as the first build suffered from.

So what's the consensus on the new LOS ? Upgrade or too new so better stay with 18.1 ?

I hear the new Arrow also its share of issues and the changelog says it's still using 12.5.5.0 blobs so it's not a firmware thing I guess

After dirty flashing the 2nd 19.1 update through lineageOS recovery (ADB sideload) and sideloading Magisk afterwards, I can say after 2 days of usage, I haven't had the freezes that I've encountered before with the 1st build.

It's too early to say. I'm on the latest version for two days now and had them once since.
