couldn't get into fastbootd by fastboot reboot fastboot had to type in adb reboot fastboot while phone on to get it to work

Sounds like you have an out of date fastboot/adb on your computer. "adb reboot fastboot" command was included in older versions. Make sure you grab the latest from Google.

https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools

Also, you must have stock recovery installed for fastbootd to work. That's why I highly recommend only using "fastboot boot TWRP.img" instead of "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img"

I'm loving this ROM!!! It's definitely worth it even after losing fingerprint functionality.... HOW DO I DONATE? I've only donated a couple of time in xda but this is definitely worth it, let me buy you a beer or coffee ...

Thanks for the donation, I guess you found the paypal link in my sig :)

I can't get 5g Everytime I try to select a different setting in network settings my phone crashes my phone freezes

The one selected by default at boot will give you 5G. Let the settings menu crash/hang. Also try disabling/enabling mobile data from quick settings. It will work if you're near a supporting 5G tower.

Reporting issue with one of the links in the OP. When clicking on the TWRP link, the address starts with hhttps instead of https. Its causing the link to not get to its destination.

Thanks, I'll fix

I noticed the instructions in OP were updated to use "fastboot update AOSiP-10-Quiche-hotdogg-XXXXXXXX-fastboot.zip" Assuming new update coming since latest 6-25 is all fastboot images?

I was trying to build an easier way to flash, but I cant get the new zip to work yet. I got excited and updated the flashing instructions too soon  For now continue to flash using the provided fastboot scripts.

This is the device fingerprint, there are other attributes that control what the device appears as, so it will remain a 7T Pro 5G McLaren. Very long story short, this will help people who want to root pass SN. I can explain more in depth if you like.

I'd normally recommend using the Pixel 2 fingerprint from an Android 10 build. Definitely should still allow SN to pass. Only mentioning this for potential compatible problems of using an Oreo fingerprint on Android 10. But I'm guessing you know something I don't and are using an Oreo fingerprint for a reason? ;)

Guess it really makes no difference at this point since we are flashing images and not a zip. Just info for the future they may help (edit: well, I take that back because I know system.img (and possibly vendor.img and product.img) includes build.prop including the fingerprint)

Use the canary build of magisk and be done. Activate hide magisk and pass safetynet

Just an update on this, I figured out my issue and this is working now.
Going forward we can use the ZIP in fastbootd (1/3rd the download size, no more fastboot scripts, single file, easier flashing)

But I'm guessing you know something I don't and are using an Oreo fingerprint for a reason?
There is a reason for it :)

Canary build not required for that. However, I'm pretty sure the dev wants it to pass SN as-is (no magisk required)
I wanted it to pass without the need for the props module. Either way, any valid FP should let you pass without that module.

Great work! I see you added the fastboot zip for the latest build! Awesome

Edit: ignore the rest I deleted, my mistake

Plan on running this Rom once fingerprint support is stable. I appreciate your work as I thought development on this device was going to be non-existent.

New build is ready.
Starting to ship both nogapp and gapp builds.
No gapp is up now, gapps within the hour.

First, awesome, thank you for all the hard work!! :good:

Secondly, from what I had been reading, I didn't think it was even possible to separate gapps from the ROM on this device. I personally prefer gapps included, but amazing accomplishment!

Edit: Just downloaded, about to install. Was just reading the changelog(s)... Very impressive indeed!! However, the changelog in the OP and the full linked changelog at https://del.dog/aosip-changelog-20200709.txt appear to be completely different lol. I'm assuming the changes in the OP aren't included in the . txt file?

    Bug reporting:

    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
    • Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

    8 September 2020:
    • Fix FP icon size
(More responsive unlocking/no more dirty reader messages)
    • Remove FaceUnlock
(Was causing severe battery drain, via spamming FFC free fall sensor at all times / keeping it active)
    • Adjust FP location for app dialogue
(No more dual icon when authenticating app requests)

    14 September 2020:
Note: This build may require a fastboot -w if you get stuck on boot animation. Please backup your stuff...
(We updated partition sizes and userdata is now formatted with f2fs)

    • Complete code rebase / cleanup
    • Fix Dalvik system RAM usage (before we were limited to 8GB, now we can use the full 12GB)
    • Moving to no-gapp builds only[/STRKE]
(Google Search app / Velvet.apk bundled in gapps build was causing severe battery drain. Flash your favorite gapps package. I recommend pico as it doesn't include Velvet.apk. Since this way it is no longer a system app, you can always then install/uninstall it from PlayStore as you like.)
      [*] Bring back FaceUnlock
      [*] Optimize FP (faster unlocking)
[*] Update partition sizes/reservations to fix gapp, magisk, etc. ZIP flashing via TWRP
[*] Cleanup on FP icon being covered by PIN/Pattern on lockscreen
[*] Format userdata partition with f2fs (instead of ext4; should lead to slight performance improvement)
      [*] Many AOSiP-side improvements

    15 September 2020:
    • Same as Sept 14, but gapps built in
(I decided to continue releasing gapp-inegrated builds, in case anyone still wants it - However, I still recommend nogapp + pico for best performance and battery life)

    18 September 2020:
    • Update Kernel to 4.14.186 Neutrino
    • Finish fixing layout for FP under the pin pad / pattern lockscreen
    • AOSiP side improvements

    09 November 2020:
    • Update Security Patch
    • AOSiP-side updates
    • Minor code cleanup
