You should be on OpenBeta 25 for this ROM not sure but I guess there are people here who flashed it with OOS 9.0.9 as well without issues but you need to have it installed on both slots. Just give it a try.
thx ! if i have it installed on both slots and had flash another rom, will i not have to reflash oos on both slots again?

Edit: i will give up on pixenos , tried flashing that **** twice got crash dump XD
i hope i wont get no crash dumps with aosip.

If you are coming from another ROM you need to do a clean flash and yes you need to reflash OOS on both slots again.
fuh flashing procedures hell on this thing, anyways, on op it says to flash latest OB , latest is ob28, will that do ?
if yes i will download that, and also regarding the twrp , it only gives you the latest twrp zip, can i flash twrp-3.2.3-x_blu_spark_v9.91_op6 <<<< this one here and then install the latest through that?

thx

Yes exactly that is the Beta I used as well when flashing this ROM. I am using this ROM right now and am really happy with it. Fast and smooth and good battery life.

You should use a newer BlueSpark TWRP. The one you mentioned with v9.91 is really old.
Use the v9.107 or the latest one now wich is v9.108 since a few days.
Good luck! :)

No that OpenBeta is still Android 9!!
Yes when you flash OOS then your Data get decrypted so you need to Format Data after that!

Try to read a bit about A/B Partitions, you'll see it's not so complicated ! Try to understand encryption and downgrading too, it will make your life easier ! And if you got Stock Recovery showing up it means you missed something :p

Hey guys could someone help me. I followed the exact instructions in the OP. I first installed OOS OB28 twice and then flashed AOSIP gapps and magisk. After rebooting I got into an android recovery where I just hit reboot and since then I cannot boot into any ROM I want. I have a working twrp, but no matter what ROM I'd like to install it throws me right back to twrp. I have multiple ROMs on my device so I tried several from OOS stable to beta, omni, aosip, syberia nothing works except twrp

Edit: okay, so after installing aosip on both slots and flashing no-verity mod after magisk, I get to the boot animation. However it now is stuck in a bootloop

Edit 2: I reverted back with the msm tool. But I don't get it, I tried everything, but I don't get this ROM to boot. I followed the exact steps more then once. Could someone help me.

after this you had to factory reset, it happens to me too, i have no idea how or why.
its a complex thing, this phones ab stuff :l

i'll be fiddling with it now too, i think i will have to use msm.
i hope not.
Yeah this is quite strange. Atually I didn't do a factory reset and in the end it was quite messed up.
Yes indeed, I've flashed several Roms and never had this issues. However, I don't think this is caused by Rom but more by TWRP and encryption.

I got it to boot correctly now after a lot of hassle. First of all, I haf to use the MSM Tool unfortunately. From there I did:

1. Ota update to OOS 9.0.9
2. Followed the EXACT steps from this video (I thought I was doing exactly that other times, but hey it worked)
3. To boot into TWRP, I used Mauronofrio's Pie Twrp img to just boot into TWRP
4. I used blu spark TWRP 9.107 (9.108 never worked for me) Installer Zip for sticking TWRP
5. Used latest nano opengapps

I'm afraid that you have to use MSM Tool or at least format data to decrypt.

The first thing I would try to follow the instructions in OP again, but with blu spark TWRP 9.107 and if that doesn't do it for you, well then msm or format is the way to go.

Isn't OB28 A10? That's exactly why it doesn't work: this AOSiP version has OB25 (OOS A9) as base and thus will not work on OOS A10 base!

Yeah happend to me too. Used msm tool three times as well.

Okay, so after using msm tool you got your op6 on android 8.
And this is what I did.

1. OTA update to OOS 9.0.9 without unlocking bootloader or anything.
2. Go through the initial setup (google etc. is not important)
3. Enable OEM unlock, USB Debugging and advanced reboot
4. Reboot to bootloader
5. In you command window on pc type
"fastboot oem unlock" and unlock bootloader
6. After the phone reboots, go through the initial setup again, and do step 3.
7. reboot to bootloader again
8. Now boot into TWRP. I used mauronofrio_pie_twrp.img
9. In twrp type "never show this again" and swipe to allow modifications (always do this if you get asked again)
10. Go to wipe and format your data (this is for decryption)
11. Reboot to bootloader again and boot TWRP again. (Still mauronofrio_pie_img)
12. Transfer opengapps nano (link in OP, take the latest version), twrp installer (blu_spark twrp 9.107), OOS OB28/25, AOSIP Q version and Magisk 20.1 to your phone.
13. Flash OOS and blu twrp 9.107 and reboot recovery
14. Flash OOS and blu twrp 9.107 and reboot revovery
15. Flash AOSIP
16. Go to wipe -> advanced wipe and select Data and Dalvik / ART Cache and swipe to wipe
17. And now flash blu twrp 9.107 and reboot recovery
18. Flash opengapps nano, flash magisk and reboot
19. Hopefully enjoy. It rebooted twice for me. Just let it rest until it boots up.

This is exactly what I did to get it working. Hope this helps.

No that is definitly not the issue.

If you go to the official download page for OOS OB28 is still Pie. In Fact, if I flash OB28 and I check the version it states OB25. I don't why, but it is marked as OB28 but in the end it is OB25.

Check also here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/oneplus-6-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3792244
If you go to the OB25, it says "labelled as OB28"

New Alpha build dated 20200104 is out!

I'd like to start of by wishing everyone here a Happy New Year!

DO NOT USE THE UPDATER FOR THIS UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!
The base has been updated to OOS 10.3.0 which means, it brings about a ton of changes and thus requires a clean flash.
NOTE: A change of TWRP has taken place, use these:
IMAGE | ZIP INSTALLER

The link to ROM is in the OP.

The procedure to update from existing AOSiP to the new one is:
  • Backup all data
  • Boot to the new TWRP image
  • Flash the TWRP zip installer
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Wipe data
  • Flash OOS 10.3.0
  • Flash TWRP zip installer
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash OOS 10.3.0 (yes, flash it again)
  • Flash TWRP zip installer
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash AOSiP
