And also I guess your cuz of your rom sw binary has changed on my s8plus it says device 12 and binary 11 and I can't downgrade to android 9 original firmware how do I do it now? Please reply fast as I have to reset it to original and sell the phone please

you can install android 9 hades rom and then try to install android 9 firmware

Hello, I recently installed HadesROM V3 on my Galaxy S8 (exynos) and so far I'm pretty happy with it !

I just have 2 issues :

- 1st : when facial recognition is enabled as an unlocking method, my lockscreen become a bit slow (noticeable during the swiping up animation to use pin code, or when I'm tipping my pin code I see some latency).
As soon as I disable facial recognition in the settings and stick to pin + digital footprint it become smooth again.
Is someone facing the same issue and/or has any workaround ?

- 2nd : the quick setting panel animations (pulling it down for example) are sluggish and don't feel smooth. Any idea ? Can it be due to some of the toggles regarding quick setting panel chosen in aroma setup during the installation ?

I precise that both of these issue are here since the beginning but weren't there before installing HadesROM.

I've been using Hades for about the past 3 months, on my galaxy s8+ exynos. I have to say it's been amazing, such a great outcome from the hardwork of the devs. I havn't had any trouble with blank screens or reboots. I've rooted with magisk and have full functionality including iris scanning and google pay. Highly recommend and can't really fault any of the work done by the devs.

The only small very niche issue I've come across is when viewing a HDR video using the reddit app, the phone adapts the display for HDR, but occasionally the display won't revert back to normal and a reboot is required. All HDR options in phone settings are turned off, so I'm not sure if it's a bug with Hades or just reddit's garbage app. But not a big deal.

Keep at it (if you are), looking forward for v4 if it comes :)

    I have now tested RAD kernel with good result. The mobile is cooler and works fine. Wireless Dex works. With conservative governor the battery time is better and goes to deepsleep more often. The freeze problem might be due to that I used good lock though. Where can I find Hades kernel to test it again?

    Hades Kernel does not come separately. Easier way is to dirty flash the Hades rom again over your current rom. A bit difficult way is to unzip the Hades V3.0 rom file, go inside, extract the kernel from there and then manually flash it via TWRP.

    Some personal thoughts:

    You are not allowed to use this base, aroma, or any parts of it for your own "ROM". if you want to make a Q port, "DIY"
    Any sort of kang will be reported without hesitation..

    Installation steps
    If you are installing on S8/S8+ or any of Korean variants - SELECT LESS BLOATWARE OR THE PHONE WILL NOT BOOT
    • Make sure you have latest official TWRP installed (download latest official for Note8 or S8/S8+)
    • Make sure your phone is charged to at least 70%.
    • Download the ROM, and transfer to your phone / external SD card
    • Make sure OEM Unlock is ON in developer settings
    • Boot the phone into TWRP
      - coming from hadesRom Q v2.0, no wipe is needed
      - coming from any other setup than hadesRom, full wipe is mandatory - Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data (or select wipe in Aroma options)
    • Flash ROM and boot (first boot can take up to 15-20 min)
    • uncheck diagnostic data in setting wizard

    How about bugs and/or issues and/or requests?
    • First read existing issues and the F.A.Q below to ensure its not a duplicate
    • Properly report issues by submitting an issue on GitHub
    • provide as much info as possible so the issue is not ignored / closed

    Bugs at release of v2.0:
    • Common - Some camera modes (live focus, super slow motion)
    • Common - Permissive kernel (needed to for hw mismatch)
    • Common - Encryption (internal/external storage encryption is broken)
    • Common - Flashlight intensity
      Due to the nature of this rom being a port from a different soc and these bugs being 95% hardware related, the above features have been disabled/hidden with a very small chance of succeeding in fixing them.

    So basically the time has come, the big upgrade is here, i proudly present you hadesRom Q v2, a full fledged port of Note9 to Note8, S8 and ofcourse, S8+.

    This upgrade took us more than we expected, but in the end it's by far better than v1 with a ton of impossible fixes and exotic features enabled, such as iris.
