Do you got the Problem by self opening Lockscreen? I put the sensivity to max while opening via Homebutton but the phone still opens, make Screenshots or open random Apps. The only way to help me out is to turn the display outside in the Pocket

Sorry i am not familiar with this issue, ive daily drove note 8 for a while, it never opened apps in my pocket, accidental touch protection should prevent the phone from pressing (or swiping) the screen in your pocket (the screenshot is probably the palm swipe to capture in settings > advanced > motion and gestures)

i would disable Hard press home button and test for a while, it sounds like the display might be damaged internally, as the ROM uses the stock 3D touch sensitivity settings.

The bank app does not work at all

This bank app (VRSecureGo Plus) didnt' start while claiming there to be security issues on Lineage 16 or crdroid 7 or 9 (both on S5 mini).
On my S8 it will only works if I deinstall Magisk completely. No Hiding of Magis, Zygisk config or config module props tricks worked for me.

I tried this apps on freshly installed Hades V12 and V3 and these were the only custom roms so far where the apps started without issues.

I did a clean install, even wiped internal storage... But phone overheats and drains battery more quickly, anyone experiencing this on S8?

On my quick try I noticed nothing like this on my S8. But I only installed the banking app I told about just above and did a phone call. Still struggling if and when to switch.

Some here said the camera quality (and functions) degrades?!

I'm having trouble when i try to flash the TWRP. My phone always shows: "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed". Also tried to wait 168 h but without success. My RMM state is showing PRENORMAL. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks

For me, after I reinstalled Stock rom, I didn't connect to the internet, changed Date and Time some month back, then did the wifi setup. After a reboot, I gladly found the OEM unlock button again.
See this guide, as linked in the just mentioned opening post.

But it is unclear if this works for all, I read that some people had to wait about seven days with their phones running stock rom.

I've noticed when making calls with loudspeaker on, the loudspeaker keeps turning off and it goes back to the earpiece however the green loudspeaker still shows on the screen.

Hi, I think this rom almost perfect, I can barely fault it. That said there are just 2 things, 1st everyday I get a message telling me that an sd card is inserted and I should try moving apps to it. Although there are no new cards inserted, its been the same as when I flashed. Also there's more than enough space on the phone but its not accepting that interestingly, it tells me I have less space than I actually have. 2nd thing the camera has motion photos. But other than these things I'm quite impressed. The thing that annoys me is the sd card problem as it constantly messes up my music play list.
Thank you for listening. If there's a solution that would be appreciated. BTW I did a complete clean wipe when installing as im no novice.

After testing for a long time, I can confirm that lags due to poor RAM Management is solved by a simple tweak.

Hades Team reverted back default Android Low Memory Killer, which are good now since they're not responsible of any issue.

But from what I know, this issue still remain in V3 without doing the tweak. For any reason, maybe because of Note 9 Port (4 Gb S8 < 6 Gb Note 9 RAM), RAM and SWAP memory get full and freeze the phone.

So I suggest you guys to simply increase SWAP Memory to maximum from HTweaks App. This process will take few minutes because it has to completely empty SWAP Memory before allocating the new size.
I kept Swappiness to 160.

Maybe @corsicanu could repack a new hades kernel with this tweak ?

Ok I'll test it. The Home Button is on of the greatest things at my S8. Maybe i'll do a fresh install. The problem came after using the rom many weeks/months. Strange thing...

I think its possible to the Display. The Screen ist opening even if i dont touch the Homebutton. Sometimes i turn the Phone a feel a vibration before opening the Lockscreen.

Please let me know how it goes long term. report your findings here https://github.com/ananjaser1211/hadesRom_Reports/issues/108 . ideally zRAM is set to 50% of physical RAM, i havent had decent luck with 100%. i believe the issue came down to Swappiness rate. some guy in hades group had an S8 with 6GB of ram and had the same memory issue where it fills out > kswapd starts spamming items in/out of zram, and using pretty much the entire cpu, a cycle that can only be broken by a reboot.

I would try 100 swappiness also and see if things change, i havent had much time to continue debugging this issue on my end.

A software check would be always better for sure, take a backup of your data in twrp, clean flash the ROM, test it out for a bit, if it shows the same issue, its a hardware issue, if the issue is gone, you know for sure its something in system, you can start troubleshooting by removing magisk if you have it, reinstalling the rom without wiping data and so on

When we make the settings you say, which I think you should take a small screen picture, you say that the phone will be more performance as ram.

What kind of bloat you install? I don't face any of the issues you mentions.

The phone heats up without any action and generally the battery dies quickly. I have frequent hangups. I looked at the tutorial and installed, so there is no problem with the installation, other than that the functionality of the camera is very low, portrait mode etc. no more. I've been using it for about 2 months now and these are the problems I've come across.

I remember I never got it to work on a S9 Oreo Port.
I don't know if it was from a bad usage or not.

Hi guys, i am having serious issue lately with my S8+ with v3.0 rom. Whenever i open my banking app, OS crashes and phone reboot itself. And after first reboot, it keep crashing and rebooting at interval of 5 min(i guess). Once it starts crashing then it keep crashing and rebooting for at 15-20 times. During reboot process, phone gets very hot.
Not sure if it hardware issue?

Update: It should not be my banking app because i connected the charger and then i tried to launch the app but it still crashed the phone.

Simply disable storage booster app.
It can be done by any of the system app remover with the help of root. I have done it long time ago as this storage booster app does not have any positive outcome on our daily use.

I don't believe it's a hardware issue.
It gets hot because a reboot takes CPU ressources.

Try booting without opening your bank app for at least couple hours and see if it keep restarting or not.
This is not impossible that your banking app crashes your phone.
One last thing, the ROM has RAM issues and that could also be the culprit.

I advise you to increase SWAP memory and/or reduce 'Swappiness' value. You need root to do this.

i downloaded and followed all the steps but in the flash part it just said extracting files and after that i didnt do anything and let me click End, after i clicked end it broought me to the galaxy s8 screen and didnt do anything after it, i tried restarting by pressing the power button and voolume down, and nothing changed..
