Hi all, it's time for me to quit my S8+ for an S21 FE !
I've been using this ROM for quite a while now. I want to thanks (again) Hades Team for making this ROM

Upgraded a Samsung S8 with this great rom, for which many thanks. I had hoped that moving to Android 10 would enable me to access what is known as Audio Streaming for Hearing Aid (ASHA) which is the protocol now across the hearing aids industry for communication with mobile phones. Some of the options do work but I am getting some errors in usage. Has anyone out there any experience of ASHA on an S8 that has had this rom installed?

Hi. Yeah surely working, liking the ROM so far. Will test it out, love the fact that theres no bloat apps. Just the ones I want.

Quick question, have you used this ROM? Did you have any issues with Good Lock? It seems to continuously crash anytime I try to do anything with it.

I had the SM-G955FD variant and I have been using it for more than a year !

There was a Lock Star module issue on v2, but it has been fixed on v3.

Good Lock is supposed to work anyway except for some countries.
In that case, change your CSC or use a patched version of Good Lock (both are provided in AROMA Install).

Nah it did not help, maybe I'm doing something wrong will look into it further later. But I did come across two more ROMs that caught my eye. Project Sakura & Alexis ROM, both seem pretty nice! Have you had any experience in using any of the two?

I'd probably lean more towards hades/Alexis since they are ports of Samsungs ROMS and have stock camera. Not sure what I would do without it, Lineage is probably much better but it does not seem to have the camera.

Alexis is the most stable on One UI ROMS, Hades has minor issues on memory management.

Project Sakura is still on Android 11.
If you want AOSP, flash Pixel Experience, the best for Android stock in my opinion.

I believe Lineage OS has a camera app. Install one if not after all...

Oh the android version doesn't really bother me. Just looking for a decent smooth ROM. Heard that Sakura is pretty in that department.

By what you said, Alexis sounds like a good try! Would you suggest giving it a go?

For stability yes, for features no since it's Android 9 One UI 1.0
On Android 10 and higher, you have navigation gestures and so on...

It depends what you prioritise according to your needs.

The previous version 12.0 is Android 9 as well and too my reading and personal experience rock solid meaning stable.

My needs are not that precise to be honest, just the usual like everyone else. Smooth, Good Battery Life, Good Camera, no heat ups.

I've been using hades Q V3 for 5 days now and while the ROM itself is amazing with smooth interface, I'm really not liking the fact that my phone has been heating up considerably more than the stock ROM & battery life has decreased a LOT! May be I did something wrong I'm not sure exactly. Or is there some kernel i can flash along with this ROM for better usage?

This is one of the downsides of that ROM.
I partially solved freezes issue (don't know if you have it too...) by increasing SWAP memory from 2 GB to 4GB.

For battery life, I suggest you to change your governor settings with HKTweak app with the ones from stock.
Some parameters are missing wich cause high clock speed for minor tasks.

Sure, but dual speakers etc arent exactly what I'm after. Stock ROM already has Dual apps option if I'm not wrong, like whatsapp etc. Unless you mean something else which again isn't what I'm looking for.

Custom Pie ROMs are based on stock ROM so they're as fluid as stock.
Dual App mods means every app are compatible with this feature.

You can uninstall everything you want since you are rooted.
