Hi! This ROM looks amazing! Thanks for the hard work!
I've read in the description that the 2.0 version contains fixes in "ok google" and "hi bixby" features, but it doesn't specify if this is working from screen off or AOD.
Since the Oreo stock update on the S8/S8+, the "Ok google" hotword from screen off feature started to work.
Can anyone with this rom please try this, and confirm if "ok google" feature can wake the phone from screen off?
If not, has anyone seen this feature in any other rom?

First of all, thank you very much for the ROM, it works just like stock but better and more modern. I installed it a little over a month ago and everything is fine.
However, for a couple of weeks now I've been having seemingly random reboots. First I thought it was because of using DeX, as it happened to me twice. But today I confirmed that they happen at any time, regardless of usage or temperature (for the record, I wasn't doing intensive walking at the time nor was it hot to the touch).
Does anyone have any ideas? Or maybe it's not the rom but the phone being old...?

Do you have root?
It happens to me when i install magisk.
If I dirty install the rom again, it loses root and the reboots stop.
That is actually a very good hint. I didn't have root until recently, so that could well be it. Thank you very much.
Do you happen to know how to remove root? (I have Magisk as well)
Do I have to do a dirty flash?
Yes, for me I just go to TWRP and run the HadesRom installer again with the same options.
In the end it will no longer have root.
Please comment your results.

ok ok, but when you reflash, it has an option that let's you keep all your things.
It works fine for me and never had any problems with that.
I only noticed that the order of the buttons in the notifications quick setings get reset.

I doesnt come with a virus.
I tested everything (unpacked repacked modified) and there is no virus. But there is a magisk root installer. Root .zips are often being detected as a virus
good for you, my antivirus detected a virus in my system backup, then I redownloaded the zip and the virus got detected in the zip itself several times, identified as something bankinggen something virus, which is too bad because it's the best rom, if it's not an actual virus sI can't tell the difference
I just got a virus-free zip, I think it depends on where you download it from, one of them is corrupt
and yes it's the best Rom by far although it becomes slow
the other ones worth trying to replace it are RiceDroid (Android 13) and Resurrection Remix (Android 10 - same problem, it's old)

You are not allowed to use this base, aroma, or any parts of it for your own "ROM". if you want to make a Q port, "DIY"
Any sort of kang will be reported without hesitation..

Installation steps
If you are installing on S8/S8+ or any of Korean variants - SELECT LESS BLOATWARE OR THE PHONE WILL NOT BOOT
- Make sure you have latest official TWRP installed (download latest official for Note8 or S8/S8+)
- Make sure your phone is charged to at least 70%.
- Download the ROM, and transfer to your phone / external SD card
- Make sure OEM Unlock is ON in developer settings
- Boot the phone into TWRP
- coming from hadesRom Q v2.0, no wipe is needed
- coming from any other setup than hadesRom, full wipe is mandatory - Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data (or select wipe in Aroma options) - Flash ROM and boot (first boot can take up to 15-20 min)
- uncheck diagnostic data in setting wizard
How about bugs and/or issues and/or requests?
- First read existing issues and the F.A.Q below to ensure its not a duplicate
- Properly report issues by submitting an issue on GitHub
- provide as much info as possible so the issue is not ignored / closed
Bugs at release of v2.0:
- Common - Some camera modes (live focus, super slow motion)
- Common - Permissive kernel (needed to for hw mismatch)
- Common - Encryption (internal/external storage encryption is broken)
- Common - Flashlight intensity
Due to the nature of this rom being a port from a different soc and these bugs being 95% hardware related, the above features have been disabled/hidden with a very small chance of succeeding in fixing them.

Have fun!5849So basically the time has come, the big upgrade is here, i proudly present you hadesRom Q v2, a full fledged port of Note9 to Note8, S8 and ofcourse, S8+.
This upgrade took us more than we expected, but in the end it's by far better than v1 with a ton of impossible fixes and exotic features enabled, such as iris.
