Wow ! I tried everything, I had bootloop, system ui crashing every 2 second, all the problems in this thread... until I read your message and guess what? it worked!!! thank you so much @royalford for this working workaround and thanks @DarkJoker360 for all your effort to make our PRA-LX1 still alive!

Btw, if you need some free coffee, don't hesitate to fix your "donate to me" button, it is not working ;)

Huawei P9 Lite

Hi guys, I'm looking for a Linerage OS 17 or higher for Huawei P9 Lite. Is it possible to use that or I need a specific ROM? Maybe a P9 ROM is it ok?

Eeh... P9 lite and P9 lite 2017 are totally different phones, so simply no because treble is not available on P9 lite....
P9 lite have Kirin 650 and 2017 edition have Kirin 655 and fun fact, this phone is wrongly named as P8 lite 2017, this phone had been released specially for Czech Republic (reason for codename 'prague' that's our capital city) and Huawei released it anyway to others but because it wasn't good enought as refresh of P9 they named it as P8. So everyone this phone is not P8 but in fact P9 and also Huawei for wierd reason didn't released in Czech Republic 32GB version.

This is a very bad news, I tried LOS 17 on my old Moto G 2014 and now I can't use a phone without this ROM. :D

In theoretical way if P9 lite have Oreo custom rom it could theoritically convert phone to GSI enabled so maybe it could work but seriously idk, if this phone isn't your daily driver it's worth to try.

Yep it makes me kinda sad too, probably I will use some other rom like Havoc or Evolution X or RR and making it usable, because DarkJoker360 also didn't make any update to this rom so....

Just use DC unlocker, download DC unlocker on playstore for your phone and download the software for pc. On your phone install and open apk and create an account (it cost me R60.88 south African carency you get 4 credits. They give you a user name and password ) now goto to pc and open the software (DC unlocked) goto service put user name and password than goto unlock and then read unlock bootloader they give u in less than a minute. But make sure you phone in supported mine is Huawei p8 lite 2017 running Android 8.0

gps

gps is not working, finds satellites, but does not use them, shows the location only on the Internet but stands still while driving

What app are you using?
I downloaded osmand and also thought I have an issue. but it was just matter of time.
It only starts showing the location after I spend few minutes outside.
Did you try to change the app?

I use Yandex maps, shows the position only with the Internet enabled,
And in the gps test app it says this

I have tried both Google maps and waze with offline maps, does not detect my location without the Internet
Now I use aosp from darkjoker the situation is the same
I tried to find out what you suggested and nothing happened

On stock firmware, gps connects to satellites and shows my location, I don't want to leave on 7.1.2 Android

Guys, this ROM is very far from being used daily. There are A TON of bugs and unfortunately it seems that the developer has abandoned this project. My advice is to not use this ROM, stay stock or use any other rom for your device

    How can there be such awesome people? It works in my Honor 6X! And it's fully de-googled man this is just perfect! Thank you very much for this...

    These are the steps (thanks @DunoCZ) I followed if an Honor 6X user want to install this ROM:
    - *Upgrade to EMUI 8!*
    - *Remove the saved fingerprints and Google Accounts just in case*
    - Flash the TWRP recovery from @Dil3mm4
    - Format cache, dalvik cache, data and system: TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced Wipe
    - Flash the ROM via TWRP (you can try with fastboot but it already works with TWRP): TWRP -> Install -> Install Image
    - Resize the system partition: TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> System -> Resize (DO NOT FORMAT!)
    - (Optional) Install GApps, Magisk
    - (Required) Install patch
    - Reboot and wait

    Hi everyone,
    A few days ago, I tried to install this ROM but I ran into a lot of issues: System UI constantly crashing, random reboots,... but I found a workaround. Here's how I successfully flashed this ROM :
    • Unlock the bootloader with DC-Unlocker as Huawei stopped giving bootloader codes (it is a paid service).
    • Copy the files provided by DarkJoker360 (the ROM and the patches) to your SD card.
    • Flash DarkJoker360's TWRP and reboot to recovery to wipe cache, Dalvik/ART cache, system, data partitions and to decrypt the data partition.
    • Then, reboot to bootloader and flash Dil3mm'4s TWRP.
    • Reboot to recovery and directly install the ROM from the recovery and not from fastboot. Go to Install > *where you put the ROM files*. First, install system.img (do not forget to click on "Install Image" to see the system.img file). Then, install the patch, GApps, and Magisk (Google Apps and Magisk are optional).
    • Reboot to system.

    Your phone should now be running LineageOS 17.1 without a hitch. I also enabled Adoptable Storage by following these instructions. This ROM works pretty well but the battery only lasts half a day now. I'll try to fix that later.
