Xperia XZ2
NFC will never work for japan variant
Sony cam make sure to flash the magisk module from first post to get permissive
There shouldn't be any network problem in LOS17, your network loss is probably due to unlocking bootloader, not because the LineageOS itself. Restore the backup from qunlocktool

I already install LineageOS on my XZ2, it works fine, however, I have few issues:

- NFC not working
- Sony camera crash; giving Unkown Error
- Mine was Single SIM - SOV37 one, I put my SIM card inside, but not detected.

(Note: I use the guide from the lineageOS website to install it)

@Sjll @MartinX3 @MisterFynn any solutions?
Did you install TWRP directly after that?

Are the other sensors working? Check that first. If not do the following:
(you can use the app phyphox to check the sensors)

You may have to go back to stock to install everything again without installing TWRP. I am now also (unfortunately) stayed with the LineageOs recovery, but it works.

I also had the problem at first that none of my sensors worked, but that was because I patched twrp right away. Here are the instructions that I have written for me.

BACKUP before you do ANYTHING

install stock, boot fully and let updates install

(Volume+) and Plug in Datacable
fastboot flash boot_a twrp-3.4.0-0-akari.img
fastboot flash boot_b twrp-3.4.0-0-akari.img

Unplug the phone
press POWER+VOLUME DOWN until reboot in TWRP
reboot in TWRP to recovery (hwbutton bug')

From TWRP => Wipe => Format Data: type 'yes'
From TWRP => Advanced => ADB Sideload: swipe to start sideload, and issue:
adb sideload iode-1.1-20210306-akari.zip

TODO:Start to system and check if sensors work ....
SENSORS WORK !!!
Now .. how to install root?

start to recovery and patch magisk.zip
done

??

Profit

Thanks to you buddy, I think I can get it. I just try to reinstall again, and everything appears easier.

What @seilent say was right, thanks mate:
1. I try to restore my backup from qunlocktool, and my SIM card detects back.
2. NFC still broken, I guess because my Xperia XZ2 is Japan Variant (SOV37 - AU KDDI), so I'll just ignore NFC because I didn't use NFC at all.
3. I get the Unknown Error because of there is another stock LineageOS Camera, I enter the stock one first, follow the "things", exit and enter the Sony one, and it works.

@MisterFynn I do reinstallation again, this is how I install mine (same as your step, but I slighly modify):

Credit to @MisterFynn
1. Back up everything (just in case something happens)

2. Enter fastboot mode (Power + Volume Up) - the red LED should turn blue

3. Flash the LineageOS Recovery from the official website (assume that the bootloader already unlocked) using fastboot:
fastboot flash boot_a lineage-17.1-20210505-recovery-akari.img
fastboot flash boot_b lineage-17.1-20210505-recovery-akari.img
(for some reason, TWRP make me confused)

4. Reboot into recovery (Volume down + Power)

5. Wipe Data

6. ADB sideload LineageOS, Gapps (I use Micro), Magisk (v20.4) & SemcCamera
(I repeat step 4 and 6 only for each zip file that I sideload)

7. Reboot into system, do some "set-up", enter Magisk Manager, flash selinux_permissive_v2.0_evdenis.zip

8. Done.

I wish someone make a video on how to install it on this device in YouTube. Maybe I'll make my own later on, with proper credit to everyone in this thread :D

Anyway, thanks again, I'll update if there is any issue or feedback.

.......

Japanese Xperia is not supported.
NFC: Global: PN553, Japan: PN553 with Felica.
Sony camera: set selinux to permissive.
RIL: Flash Global singel model FW, get singal in it, then flash LineageOS.

Here is the rebase kernel for LineageOS 17.1/18.0/18.1, which tag at LA.UM.9.3.r1-01700-sdm845.0. You can try and feedback to us. Some wired issues like TF card reading should be fixed.

Steps: Flash dtbo in fastboot and sideload the Anykernel3 in LineageOS Rec.

Device:
akari > XZ2
apollo > XZ2C
akatsuki > XZ3

Hey, do you still have official LineageOS 17.1 file, including the recovery image one? I try to find it but seems doesn't have luck...

The first official build is up, please check the OP.
NOTE: Since the official builds are signed, you shouldn't upgrade from my unofficial builds -- you can either migrate to an official build using a script or do a clean install.

So the stock camera should work?
The stock camera (SemcCamera) works now, I've been testing it. Will be released soon I guess ;)

For official release of LineageOS, we need to wait for the first build, about next Wendesday.
