Just installed the 8.7.0 update (https://sourceforge.net/projects/re...-Q-8.7.0-20210624-ocean-Official.zip/download), and there were no issues at all. I am wondering if anyone from the Resurrection Remix team can offer a changelog though, as the usual one seems like it hasn't been updated since 8.6.8.

Also, many thanks for at least continuing to provide security patch updates. Surely I'm not the only one who would rather use an Android 10-based ROM that works flawlessly (like this one), as opposed to an Android 11-based ROM, where unexpected problems will arise and the kinks are still being worked out. Hell, I'd be happy staying on the Android 10-based builds of Resurrection Remix for another year or two, so long as they continue getting periodic security patch updates. This is truly a great ROM.

This is a great ROM, and as I can't upgrade at the moment, I'm delighted that it's still getting security patches.

So,the other day I was having a few issues with things not working properly and I decided to do a clean flash ,I d'l latest bitgapps all went smooth till I opened contacts and found the list empty,re-synced,nothing, back to settings default account and only one listed -device, signed in through contacts settings ,account is already on device. It appears it wanted me to sync from google one and not drive and wouldn't give me the option change.
Out of ideas by then so tried open gapps nikgapps flamegapps I think mind the gapps was android 11 only .had to install gapps from same date as ROM was built(used flamegapps) all working again.
As no-one else has mentioned it I assume everyone is leaving things alone till an update arrives, ....just thought I'd put it out there.

    * Your warranty is now void.
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.

Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

For anyone who hasn't noticed, there was a new release a few days ago: https://get.resurrectionremix.com/ten/ocean/RROS-Q-8.6.8-20210430-ocean-Official.zip

    Changelog here: https://get.resurrectionremix.com/ten/changelog/Changelog.txt

Thanks for still maintaining this, @Deivid_21. I hope you continue to do so, as I've found it to be the most usable and reliable ROM for this phone.
There's a new release for anyone who hasn't noticed: https://sourceforge.net/projects/re...-Q-8.7.2-20210816-ocean-Official.zip/download

Thanks so much to @Deivid_21 and the rest of the RR team for continuing to support G7 Power users with these security updates. There are just too many issues with Android 11 and this phone, so having this great ROM based on Android 10 continue to be maintained is amazing.
I did a clean install of the latest version but it seems like there is a memory issue when I use this ROM? Apps take much longer to load compared to others I've used like there is an extreme memory cleaner in effect? It's always at 2.4-2.5 gb of ram usage in developer settings but I don't see anything out of the ordinary there. It also scores 15% lower on the multicore CPU score for geekbench 5 compared to other ROMs and stock...
I've actually found performance to be quite solid, and with the latest 8.6.8 update, it's actually significantly snappier. If you haven't updated yet, this might change your experience a lot.
    New release yesterday (8.6.9): https://get.resurrectionremix.com/ten/ocean/RROS-Q-8.6.9-20210515-ocean-Official.zip

Just installed it myself and everything went swimmingly.

I'll do these update posts to help out from now (if I notice there hasn't been a post about the latest release).
