Hi All,
Can someone confirm if they have a related issue with android auto on this ROM? When I connect my phone to the car, the navigation (gmaps) works fine when I first launch AA. However, as soon as I select spotify or google music, android auto freezes.
The second and weirder problem happens when I disconnect the phone and AA is closed, the phone screen keeps flickering and it is not usable at all. This happens whether or not I used music apps. I have to restart my phone every single time I disconnect android auto.
I have disabled battery optimization for AA, gmaps and music apps as well.

Got the same problem. It can be solved by enabling "always use gpu for screen compositing" through the developers menu, but be careful this significantly reduces battery life.

Awesome rom. Runs buttery smooth. However, August 4th update has my phone restarting when using Google Messages every once and a while.

Thanks for confirmation here and in the other thread. I did eventually flash AOSiP and didn't face the flickering problem and didn't have to play around with screen compositing.

Had to go back to the 7/27 build as the 8/4 build had random crashes with Google Messages. Also had trouble displaying Poweramp. Found out the hard way that you can't dirty flash an older version over the new one. Broke everything and I had to do a fresh flash, but all is well again on the 7/27 build.

Oh cmon why do you need to change model and hardware into mi8. Now I have 3 mi8 device on my google account. Wich is confusing. And Gcamator read the device as mi8 wich in turn gives incorrect gcam version.

Overall this is the most stable rom that I ever used I just hope that it would gives correct model and hardware.

None of the above cameras works in 04-14-2020 build, including the built-in cam

I can tell you how to switch from one to the other, but the methods I'm familiar with involve formatting /data and starting fresh, fair warning. Someone else might know a method to keep your data, but I don't. This guide applies to updating to any Android 10 ROM.

    1. Install the latest stable firmware for your device from here.
    2. Install a stable version of Xiaomi.EU's MIUI 11 from here.
    3. Wipe everything (cache, dalvik, vendor, system, data, internal storage)
    4. Reboot recovery.
    5. FORMAT /data (with the 'yes' prompt)
    6. Reboot recovery again
    7. Install your ROM (and gapps/magisk if necessary)
    8. Reboot.

This phone REALLY likes to bootloop, but the universal fix seems to be "format /data" if that happens, and if not, "flash Xiaomi.EU". No need to actually boot Xiaomi.EU, you just need all the little extra files and partitions it seems to set up. After you've done this, you shouldn't need to format /data anymore, unless data gets corrupted (corrupted folder names in recovery).
