Yes it looks like you'll need the treblized twrp.Do we have to first install treblized twrp or we can flash with the old twrp?
I am using lineage OS 15.1 right now.

The same here. I had to forget the magisk. The Lineage 16 is coming already rooted. It's fine for me.After installing Magisk-v18.1.zip from recovery system does not restart.

i provided the solution, if you mind to read previous posts. just type "magisk" in the shiny search box and it will appear on your screen...Magisk gave no errors during install. Just wouldn't boot at all afterwards.
Root via Developers options offers ADB only. Not for apps.
I also tried Super SU as per the Lineage Wiki. It fails and aborts during install.
Any further ideas at this point in time?
did you reboot after first-boot? it is working flawlessly on my side but i will try to troubleshoot itThanks JuniorCaesar, Magisk is now working. But I get no root access for any application.
And install app-full-release.apk from github? it works!I am stuck..... Moto Z Griffin.
Command line with admin rights.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery TWRP-squashfs-3.2.3.img
(from here: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603915962 )
boot to recovery
Advanced wipe - Davlik / System / data / Cache
Format Data - yes
Install from OTG SD
lineage-16.0-20190303-nightly-griffin-signed.zip - installs
magisk-release.zip (reports V18.2)- installs without errors - reboot - phone comes up.
(from here: https://github.com/topjohnwu/magisk_.../canary_builds)
Either no Magisk Manager Icon is there, or Magisk Manager fails after first click.
Repeatingly and same if I use adb sideload.
Whats wrong?
Plus - there is no 'root' entry in the developers menu?
John

Refer to this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/themes/fix-google-camera-fcs-t3775020I did a clean install, lineage 16 3-3-2019, open gapps stock 9.0 arm64, magisk, everything is working fine except the Google camera keeps crashing everytime I just open it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
use treblized twrp from the first postWhen it gets on flashing vendor, the phone reboots and i get no system on lineage-16.0-20190304-nightly-griffin-signed.zip
I need help, should i flash the new twrp for 9.x (im on 3.2.3 for 8.x) before flashing system image?
Export the update and install it from the recovery.I am getting an error while I am updating it through lineage os updater.
