When flashing installation gets stuck at "patching vendor image" and phone gets into a boot loop.
Flashing 20190305 zip with new recovery doesn't fix this. Will it be fixed in 20190405 or it was supposed to work with this build?

First i need to say sorry about broken OTAs on official nightlies so to fix this bug please update twrp and format cache

Why?
We were using cache as vendor for treble and oem partition as cache because cache was bigger
But problem is on runtime Android oem partition is not getting mounted writable...
So lineage updater can't write on /cache (oem partition)
Now in tomorrow builds we use oem as vendor and cache as cache

I also encountered magisk, restart failed.
The problem of dual-card restarting the Internet still exists.

Does this update mean, that the boot loop will go? Is it fine to flash the nightly with today's date in the filename?

20190305,If you want to install GSIs, you need to install permissiver_v2.zip
How to install:
Install img into system partition
Flash permissiver_v2.zip or make your boot partition selinux permissive
Reboot

do we have to just normally flash the zip. or we have to re download the gapps and that stuff ?
cuz restoring data again takes hell lot of time. so how do you update Lineage OS 16.
right now im on 03052019.

I just downloaded the latest file using updater in the settings, exported it, rebooted to trebilized twrp, installed the exported zip and that's it.

No need to load data again or reinstall gapps and if you have magisk already it'll install again automatically on its own.

I think that's the problem on my side : as soon as Magisk reinstall for its own I get a boot loop which means I see the warning screen and instead of start booting, the warning screen is shown again. Any hints how to solve this issue?

I've got two problems with lineage-16.0-20190305-nightly-griffin using Magisc and Gappsnano:
1. During the set up wizard I cannot copy data from another android phone. Afte selecting the option the screen turns black and google play services crash. Only a restore from cloud backup is working.
2. Device ENCRYPTION does not work. Enabling it, results in bootloops.

I'm currently using twrp-3.2.3-13-robusta.img which wokrs fine with cache being squashfs.

I use a dual sim card, after restarting the mobile phone, the sim card on the Internet will change from sim card 1 to sim card 2, which needs to be manually modified. This rom is like this every time. I am using Gsi now, there will be no such problem.
Am I clear?

Device decryption does also not work for me resulting in a 'your pattern is wrong' message. Which means, I cannot enter android at all. Whereas the twrp device decryption works with the very same pattern. Problem occurred on the 5th of March version. Hopefully problem is gone with newest today's version.

Has anyone else similar problems? Can I switch anyhow to keycode decryption?

When I install the last nightly (7-3) it always reboot in bootloader. Even install the last version of TWRP as mencioned a few posts.
