No issues with the default camera. You should use a Magisk call recorder module and it works just fine. I ve been using this ROM for 6 months. You have to understand this is a custom ROM and no app support is provided by the Devs regardless if they are on vacation or not.

About camera - try to update ROM. And this is not critical.

About call recording - i am already using such root call recorder. If it possible with root - it is possible from the box. I just want this ROM to be ideal, because it is really very good.

I know about supporting - it is just a hobbie... And great thx to the developer. And i thought that bug report is the best what i do.

I am a programmer of embedded systems and qt. And i just started to learn android and so on. When i will can do such i will do. For now i can just note the bug...

I like moto z, i bougth it since 2 years..

Guys! Lets do this lineage the best

I have the camera problem and i have freshly installed the ROM (3 days) . I'm updated to the latest version 0407 but the camera issue persists . Should i reinstall gapps but choose other package than stock?

Was able to flash Lineage OS 16 on my Moto Z, but for some reason the Updating feature from the settings menu doesn't seem to work (I can download the update, but TWRP doesn't install it).

Using cmder I can see the device using adb devices command, however after booting into bootloader modus the device doesn't show up when I use the fastboot devices command.

Any one with suggestions on how to fix this issue? If someone has some good advice on how to get rid of the annoying message/image that appears when booting the device and reminds me that my device is unsafe now that the bootloader is unlocked I would be very grateful.

1) You need to update manually, update OTA is not working. Enter TWRP, go to install, select the downloaded update, if im not wong it is on a folder inside /data/
2) To remove message from boot just flash new start image. Search on google about, you ease find the solution on one thread here on xda.

This is definitely the best ROM for Moto Z. I tested a lot of others. If you want to stay with 8.1, I would suggest Resurrection OS, because efficiency mode is supported with battery mod. Why is this efficiency mode not supported here?

Thanks for your fast response! Was able to update the device manually, update was located in /data/lineageos_update. During the update via TWRP I saw the message 'Failed to mount '/oem'(No such device)' . Is this what blocks the update process when selected from the Settings menu?

Regarding the second point: I found the thread. However I cannot get the Moto Z into fastboot mode (it is seen when I type 'adb devices'. However after booting into bootloader mode, the device doesn't show up when I type 'fastboot devices').

You need to install motorola drivers.
Thanks, installed the Motorola Device Manager software and finally got rid of the annoying bootloader warning message.

One issue however popped-up: the device plays a certain sound continuously (something like an annoucement jingle used at railway stations). Does this sound familiar and is there a way to switch it off?

Google camera and photos logcat

The crashing issue also applies to both google camera. I have supplied logcats below hopefully they can help. This is on a clean installation of the rom and the issue starts to appear the first time you go to open the applications . They go up to the splash screen with the camera logo and it completely crashes. I installed the stock gapps package as recommended by the link in first post.

UPDATE: Google photos released an update today and the photos app is working as intended. I'll leave the logcat in case it is required. Google Camera still crashing.
UPDATE #2:Uninstalling the google camera app with a system app remover and then re-installing as a normal app from the play store fixes the issue as well. However it can't save to external sd. The only camera app that I have found that does indeed save to external sd card isCamera MX. Hope it helps
