I used this: https://sourceforge.net/projects/op...64-10.0-nano-20190920-UNOFFICIAL.zip/download

I did get a bunch of random reboots on the lineage 17 that was posted earlier. Not sure if its gapps related or not. I went back to LOS 16 ASAP due to this being my only phone.

Yea, can confirm about the random reboots. Reboots every 1-5 min. I also can't enter recovery anymore, it just boots up the system. I'll try reflashing recovery from fastboot again.
It's a good start tho.

Installed yesterday everything on a Stock Rom and at first Google Camera and Photos did not work.
Installed Open Camera instead. Everything else seems fine for now.

One question but nothing important. My Phone is in German but Google Maps is still in English (Menus)
Is it normal?

use an like system app remover and delete photos and google camera with root and reinstall them through the playstore. After installing gapps every google app ignored the system language (at least for me). For google maps for example you can wait for an update then it reverts succesfully to the device language -at least thats what did it for me-

Problem when trying to install Lineage OS 16 on Moto Z 1650-03 griffin

Hi there,

i spent 1 day reading and trying but now I am ready for help ;)

Done so far:
- unlocked bootloader (via key from Moto)
- installed TWRP (latest version for griffin, official from Teamwin)
- formated data
- wiped cache and system
- tried to install latest LOS 16 nightly (official version)

whenever I try this, I get:
E2001: Failed to Update Vendor Image ERROR 7

I then tried a lot of other things, like different nightly, different TWRP etc. but nothing helped.
In the end I tried different ROMS and I might have found a pattern: it seems like android 8.1 roms install fine, but android 9.0 roms do abort installation. I now installed an older official version of LOS 15.1 and all works fine, except system updates. (btw. are there no more auto updates for LOS 15.1 ???) but these updates were my main reason for lineage OS.

Any hints are appreciated how to solve that, to get on lineage OS 16.

Thanks in advance!
Stefan

Thank you so much for the fast reply.
Sorry to bother again, still stuck here. I booted via adb reboot bootloader into TWRP 3.3.1-0. then selected "Mount" but it refuses to mount "Vendor". BTW: It also refuses to mount Fsg and Dsp. These seem to be read-only?!?!

Hooray! Success. I can answer this myself:
It works, if you boot directly into TWRP on the phone and NOT with the command "adb reboot bootloader"!!!
Thank you so much for your help. I have a working LOS 16 now :good::D
