I tried to update LOS 17.1 20200904 to LOS 17.1 20201127 via TWRP, everything went good (as always) except that I finished with bootloop to TWRP :/ Because I didn't want to format data partition and lost my data I tried to reflash it, sideload it, I thing everything what I found here on xda... I tried with LOS 20200904, 20200918 and 20201127. Finally I did factory reset. Than I installed LOS and gapps. My Moto booted up and works well. So I came back to TWRP and I recover data from backup (data partion only!) and ... bootloop came back :/

What can be wrong with old data partition? How can I fix it? I wish to avoid reinstalling all apps.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Not Working :
  • All bugs fixed

Instructions :
  • Download the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash the latest build, (magisk) and gapps
  • Reboot

Downloads :

Notes :
  • Only Battery Mod Support (no Efficiency)
  • Only Clean Installation Please
  • Bug Report Without logs means nothing

Reporting Bugs :
  • DO NOT Report bugs if you installed Xposed
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

CAN WEUSE ROM ON MOTO Z FORCE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER?
Bumping and SHOUTING within a few hours of your first request is not likely to make people want to respond. If you didn't get a response it's because no one who could answer saw your question yet. Be patient. Also, if you know the code name for the device you may be able to find out if the ROM is compatible by researching. This Moto Z is Griffin. Find out what yours is and then see if Griffin based ROMs are compatible with that while you wait for an answer here. You could also find sd_shadow's Q&A thread for this device or your device and see if there is any helpful information there.

Hi everybody!

I am facing with battery drain very fast on this rom.
I have got Moto Z XT1650-03, I have installed many revision of Linage os 17.1 for my phone and problem still persist.
Battery over the night discharges from 100% to 20% after 8h. Phone is doing nothing.
When I install ORI rom, there is no problem, also I tried Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 Rom based on LineageOS (7.1 Nougat) and battery after night lost only 8% (100%->92%).

On all roms I have got only WiFi on and other services like Bluetooth and localization are off.

I would be very happy if I could use Linage OS 17.1 on my phone with normal battery behavior .

Thanks,

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but when I last tried LineageOS on a Moto Z, it defaulted to having the notification screen always on, and it was a significant battery drain. I had to disable it from Settings -> Display -> Lock screen display -> Always on.

If that doesn't solve it right away, let the phone discharge for a while and look at Settings -> Battery -> three-dot-menu -> Battery usage, what does it identify as your battery drain culprit?
