I am using my own treble build of lineage and its not recognzing my sim and the camera is not working. I'm thinking the muppets vendor files need to be updated. I think what I'll do in the meantime is use your vendor and boot images with my system image.

Ok so finished a build of lineage 16 with r31 sources and everything is working well. Your magisk manager apk doesn't want to install though. Tells me "App cannot be installed". I don't really need magisk so it's no big deal.

good news, i found a way to enable treble on this device FINALLYYY using squashfs we are using cache partition as vendor
so don't wipe cache in fastboot accidentally cuz you need to reinstall lineage lol

I've tried Resurrection Remix 7 GSI and everything's works fine. But I failed to install Magisk. I tried both variants (to flash zip and install app).

Install #100's magisk

Magisk is working for me. I'd have to redo the steps, maybe. The PixelExperience GSI is in a zip, I forgot to extract it. Otherwise, the ROM is doing well but I haven't ran it through the ringer.

If anyone is having trouble installing erfanoabdi's magisk manager you can install it using adb.

adb shell 'pm install pathtoapk'

ex.

adb shell 'pm install /sdcard/Download/app-full-debug.apk'

There is no trouble to install Erfanoabdi`s magisk manager and flash erfanoabdi`s magisk zip. But after that it shows "unsupported Magisk Version". If I install Erfanoabdi`s magisk manager without flashing erfanoabdi`s magisk zip the manager says that magisk is not installed. I've tried It on different GSIs.

I'm on lineage 16 and what I did was flash the magisk uninstaller. Then install magisk manager apk. It wouldn't install from my file manager, kept saying "This app cannot be installed". I then tried to manually install it using pm just so I could see why it was failing and it actually installed. I then rebooted back in to twrp and flashed the magisk zip. Everything works great.

I do remember reading on magisk's github issue page that there are several issues with magisk and GSI. That's probably why you aren't having any luck with magisk and gsi.
