same happened to me but I don't think it's normal.. I never flash gapps each time I update a ROM..The last update (2021-01-21) just bricked my phone, I'm not able to boot into the system. I haven't solved the problem yet, just reporting to hopefully avoid having people getting in this situation.
EDIT: solved by flashing the new OpenGApps... I'm facepalming myself, I know
Yes same situation here, Google Play Games was one of those appssame happened to me but I don't think it's normal.. I never flash gapps each time I update a ROM..
also all apps have their data but lost permissions info.. a few of them costantly crash and I had to unistall and reinstall..
This is also the case with Xiaomi.eu as well. So I think its just a Xiaomi thing.Thank you for the great work. I have used LineageOS for years and this time for MIX2. Everything runs very well except of a small issue.
The issue is about VoLTE. I tested this function several times. When SIM card is on card slot 2 (the inner card slot), there is no VoLTE option in Network settings and I can't receive any calls (can call others though). When the card is on slot 1, VoLTE will be shown and call function rebacks to normal. I don't know if this is just a purpose of hardware design or a bug from Los.
EDIT: no stuck issue so far after updated to 2/11
Try installing gapps as well.. a few weeks ago it happened the same, you can read about that a few posts above..
You see, that's the thing that worries me, it happened before. I've been using my phone with LOS almost since i got it (spend 3 Weeks with MIUI in total), and i need to worry, if an update messes everything up or makes a flashing-rescue-party out of it. I should i do the same, ... just don't update.Try installing gapps as well.. a few weeks ago it happened the same, you can read about that a few posts above..
In that case there were also issues with apps losing permissions (but not data) and a few unusable for me..
Did not update since then but it may be the same now..

If you are on stock OS, you need a custom recovery first. You can get the recommended TWRP recovery in the official installation instructions link below.
If you are coming from stock or other ROMs, you need to make a factory reset.
As always, make sure to backup before installing this ROM.
