@Tomoms
Details pls ? I want to und erstand
Thx
Official builds are signed using Lineage's private keys. These unofficial builds are either unsigned, or signed with the keys of the guy who built it. Dirty flashing a build signed with different keys causes a bootloop, hence you can't dirty flash official builds on these unofficial ones.

This is what I did with this unofficial rom installed:

1 reboot to twrp
2 backup your data partition with twrp
3 wipe system, data, dalvik, cache partitions
4 install lineage 17.1 official, gapps and permissiver_v5.zip
5 boot into lineage
6 reboot to twrp
7 restore data partition with twrp
8 reboot to lineage

For TWRP use twrp-3-3-1-K1-bacon.img.
For gapps use open_gapps-arm-10.0-nano.
All your apps will be restored again.

Since the installation I already update the official version (17.1) 1 time OTA!
No problems until now, but I use it only for the grandchildren to play games!

This is untrue.

Somewhere far east...
I'm glad that the LOS updater is working and when you download and install the weekly/nightly rom. It doesn't change the recovery. I've updated my OPO from the updater twice and TWRP is still my recovery. Before, back in LOS 14.1 I think, when you update from the updater it changes the recovery, so I had to flash TWRP every time I update or just do a clean flash.

It just replaces if you enable update recovery in developer options.

Android 11

Thanks for all the effort in getting stable Android 10 for us :good:

However any update on Android 11 development for oneplus one, I know its over expectation at this stage; but it would be good to know is that we really going to get andriod 11 :confused:

Does OPO support volte on custom roms? Sorry to ask this question but i wanted to flash it on a friends device & i'm not sure if this supports Volte via custom rom or any firmware upgrade?

Friend! I am surprised to read your laconic entry. Look at the reputation of @Tomoms.
Would he allow himself to write untrue things?

If you think otherwise, at least justify it.
This is the place for discussion...
Thanks for defending me, mate, but there actually is a possibility that what I wrote is wrong. I'm not an expert when it comes to signatures, keys, etc. So I'd like to read @remedya's explanation as well :)

Yes, switching from builds signed with key KA to builds signed with key KB is possible using a migration build, but it seems to be such a hassle that I think 99% of the users would never do that. About switching from unsigned builds to signed ones, it probably requires the same procedure, but I'm not really sure. Can you elaborate a bit?

Hey guys, so umm official lineage is out and i think these builds are just not really useful for anyone so basically count it as discontinued but anyway,
i am trying to bringup android 11 to this device so maybe just maybe we might have that, i'll try my best ;), anyway i'm still very thankful for all the support trought this adventure and i'll probably never forget it as this is where i started

if you are wondering for the progress on R, well its building but its rebooting to fastboot as of right now, i'm working on it and hopefully there will be something soon, please dont ask for ETA.

    What is LineageOS:
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

    Instructions:
    - Download the latest build and gapps/root and place them in your phones storage
    - Reboot to twrp
    - Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik
    - Flash it all
    - Reboot to system
    - SUCCESS!

    Known issues:
    - You tell me

    Please note:
    - DO NOT report bugs if you have xposed or other than the rom original kernel
    - This build is almost fully stable and its stable enough for daily use
    - I recommend using opengapps (link: LINK )
    - if the rom doesnt pass safetynet WITH magisk installed, go to the magisk manager settings and re-enable magisk hide (turn it off and turn it on)
