Even if you can't I'm loving the build that works.

Bad when a tablet this old is still the best tablet around. Only thing that's even come close is my shield tab k1... but I'm still using the Nexus for everything but gaming thanks to you.

Thank you for all you've done and all you do.
I agree i love my nexus 7 2013 and i think its the best tablet and it handles android pie and 10 really well for its age:)

New build for flo has been uploaded!

Camera is now fixed as well as nfc. Also includes followmsi latest source changes so now compass and encryption should be working.

Also you no longer need 1.5gbs to be required for flashing the ROM. You should should now be able to flash the ROM with a 1.3gb system partition instead now.

Enjoy:)

Mine is already 1.5gb. Should I go back to 1.3gb?

Hi, buddies,

I was flashing the 1230 build with twrp-3.3.1, cleared all partition, formatted data, but had a "E1001: failed to update system image. Updater process ended with Error: 7."

Any quick hint of what I have missed?

Great :):good: Thank You!

One question: is it possible to add "double tap to wake"? I suppose, there has to be a prepared kernel to make this feature possible?
Use kernel auditor from play store its already included with the kernel and the rom you just need to activate it with a kernel app like kernel auditor.

Check if your device is Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi (flo) and repartitioned.
Check your ZIP file with MD5 provided by androidfilehost

Flash the newest 1/23 build not the 1230 one also do these steps.

Wipe everything except internal storage.
reboot recovery
Flash the 1/23 PE ROM
Reboot into rom
Reboot into recovery and flash magisk 20.3
Then reboot and enjoy:)

Also make sure your using flo not deb i still have to make the deb build:)

I noticed that every time device boots up without an Internet connection, the system time is set to something like Aug 31, 2033 and time is automatically adjusted with a Internet connection. (It is default "using network provided time" in settings)
Maybe this is a minor bug

No problems with time for me:)

Select where it says timezone and change it.

Make sure your date, time, timezone, and region settings are manually correct. Please see the pictures. I had to set mine to new york eastern standard time and then i had no issues.

Thanks for your answer! Sorry, I missed that post... :(

I managed to download the 0123 build. Followed your steps, the same error here.

I was from Lineage OS ? (Android 7) I think. Any extra steps I need to perform, such as repartition? I did wipe eveything, format data, reboot as you indicated.

Select where it says timezone and change it.

Make sure your date, time, timezone, and region settings are manually correct. Please see the pictures. I had to set mine to new york eastern standard time and then i had no issues.
On my device, it is like:
- First time setup:
1. System boot up without Internet connection (No Wi-Fi)
2. Time is Aug 31, 2033 (wrong time) and timezone is UTC (default timezone)
3. Manually adjust timezone to UTC-6 and time to correct time (slightly different like 1s between the network time)
4. Connect to Internet
5. Time is adjusted to network time, timezone is not changed (my setting UTC-6)
- Every time boot up after first time setup:
1. System boot up with Wi-Fi disabled (I manually disabled Wi-Fi before shutdown to test this)
2. Time is Aug 31, 2033 (wrong time) and timezone is UTC-6 (my setting timezone)
3. Connect to Internet
4. Time is adjusted to network time, timezones is not changed (my setting UTC-6)

It seems the time issue is unrelated to timezone settings.
It is like the system failed to read time from board (something like CMOS time) and only change the time this boot but failed to write correct time to board after getting network time, so when device reboots, the issue happens.
You can *disable your Wi-Fi* before shutdown and then boot up to check if you have the issue
Anyway, this build is very stable and smooth, I like it very much;)
