Just switched to this ROM from Lineage 17.1 and it is much smoother, less lag. Only problem I am experiencing is Location services dont seem to work for apps, neither Google Maps nor Find My Device can utilise Location. Could this be fixed in a future update?

Other than that it seems great!!

Installed the ROM fine (flo) but even though Location Services is on, Google Maps and GPS Test say its off

Yes, I have that too.. I use my Nexus exclusively as a satnav in my car, so this build, as good as it is, is completely useless for me. In fact, all of these Android 10 builds don't do GPS.
Back in the days of Android 4 on these cheap crappy chinese phones, GPS was already an issue. It seems some problems are here to stay.

Try changing location settings to high accuracy from the location quick setting toggle that's the only way to activate it I think

Yeah that's wierd chrome was working for me earlier but now its force closing for me. I will look into the issue and maybe @followmsi can also help me with this issue and look into it.

I think i found the fix though but i will test it first but for now i will edit the OP.

Just for fun, I have installed and tested with all versions of Chrome available on Play Store. All crash in about 1 min or so. Worse if you scroll fast or move too quickly in the browser. (Chrome Dev, Beta etc etc). Hope this helps.

It cannot be disabled directly from the settings. I have root, I installed Root Uninstaller (Play Store) and managed to disable it with that app.
I don't know if it can be uninstalled with Debloater (Magisk Module).

just use twrp recovery or root explorer file manager from the play store

G'day from Australia!

I installed this ROM the other day and it looks so smooth. I found sometimes running other versions of Chrome (eg Chrome Canary) can help instead of straight Chrome. I also used Brave browser and it worked perfectly with this ROM.

I had reset the ROM and reinstalled it the other day for whatever reason. It freezes when trying to restore a device backup (from the same Android version) on the "Just a sec..." screen after selecting the backup I want to restore - stays there for ages. Not sure what is causing that. It didn't happen the first time I installed the ROM. It does it each time, selecting different backups doesn't change it.

I found a possible workaround, hoping this may help anyone else who is having this same issue. I get a notification that Google Play Services needs SMS access to work (it's a tablet, not a phone, but hey ... ). I checked the permissions for Google Play Services, and SMS was already granted. So I thought - okay ...

Tried denying the permission, and then granting it again. Go back to the setup, selected my backup, and away it goes and restores it!

Hoping this tip helps anyone else. This ROM is great, thank you for your hard work on this. It is awesome! A pity about Chrome, but some of the alternatives like Brave make a usable workaround for the time being.

Hi, where is this mode in Android 10, I don't seem to have that option in the Location settings.

Thanks for this ROM though as compared to Lineage 16.0 it seems very slick.

I did repart and flashed TWRP UA.
I flashed the zip ROM but it gets stuck at G logo. I will try again to wipe all and flash again.

Update:
Flashed again, chose not to install TWRP app at prompt. Success!

The only issue I am having is I have no soft keys, am I doing something stupid !!

In settings, go to "System-->Gestures--> System Navigation". There you will find the three available navigation options, one of which is the traditional Android 3-button navigation.

Hello, I was using Lineage 17.1 but I felt that the battery was draining quickly, so I decided to install your PE Q rom, but when I try to load for the first time after installing it stays in the bootloop, I suppose because my device is deb, So I installed PE Pie, and everything works great, I feel it more stable and the battery lasts longer, without underestimating the work of the other developers.For the comments I have read I am eager to test your Q rom.

Encountered Issues

First off, thanks @JT1510365 for PE 10! It has brought new life to my Nexus 7 (2013). Kudos to you and the PE team! :good:

These are the issues I've encountered after flashing the "Latest 4/15 320 Stock dpi build for Flo" using TWRP 3.3.1:

• Selecting install TWRP app after flash, causes system to hang on boot at the "G" screen (unchecking it before flashing makes it boot successfully)
• PIN lock after booting won't take your PIN until either several tries or after turning the screen off/on over 3 times (could be because the OS is still loading??)
• Tried to remove NOVA launcher in TWRP Recovery, mounting System, use File Manager and looked under System but didn't see it in there

That's all I've noticed...so far.

Working:

• Netflix build 4.8.5
• Microsoft Edge
• Magisk 20.4 passes SafetyNet Check (ctsprofile & basicIntegrity), you need to enable "hide" in the settings, it's off by default
