Decided to try myself some RR on the Poco X3 after using it for a while in my Redmi Note 8.

Coming from Xiaomi.eu v12.0.9.0 and after upgrading to the latest TWRP ('twrp-3.5.2_10-5-surya.img', as I was still on brigudav's v3.5.2_10-3) I downloaded everything to an external SD card and prepared to flash by taking a backup with Migrate-NG.

As I decided to downgrade the firmware (to 'fw_surya_miui_SURYAGlobal_V12.0.7.0.QJGMIXM...'), that's the first thing I flashed after which I rebooted into recovery just for safety.

Then I flashed the ROM ('RROS-Q-8.6.9-20210609-surya-Official.zip') and the DFE ('Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_11.02.2020.zip') before formatting data (by confirming with "yes") and rebooting yet again to recovery.

Lastly, I flashed GApps ('open_gapps-arm64-10.0-pico-20210701.zip') because I need to pass SafetyNet (it did) and have access to the Play store.

After rebooting to system, everything looked nominal, with no bootloops or errors.

I rebooted to recovery once more to install Magisk (from TWRP's Advanced options) and flash my Migrate backup -- everything went overly smooth.

Now I'm going through testing connectivity, loging on to G services and tweaking a gazillion options, but up to this point everything appears to be working...

sup, so I have auto brightness turn off and adaptive colors also but in strong light conditions something is still boosting brightness and/or contrast. It is a bug or maybe I am missing some switch xD?

something is quacked outside my phone is performing some serious light show inside not so much but it is changing no matter that i have auto-brightness turn off and adaptive colors off :p

Did a quick test under a lamp and it did increase/decrease fine. I haven't noticed it being "off" in any way 🤔

Check this setting:

So, is it working for you?
Like I said, with that particular minimal brightness setting (which is a fantastic idea) I haven't had any brightness issues. It's been so "out of the way" that I haven't needed to pay any attention to brightness... until you brought it up 😁

Indeed it works. I can see how the brightness slider moves when I play around and with my desktop lamp.

In settings, sound there is the Mi Sound Enhancer. I'm trying to create a task with tasker to open Mi Sound Enhancer directly so I can add this task in Xposed Edge Pro. In Tasker I create the task 'Launch App'. Then I could select the desired app, or in my case the specific setting. I see tons of settings. But not Mi Sound Enhancer. May be they call it different. Does someone know whats the name of this particular setting?

I dig up some more information about that contrast issue and it is probably Qualcomm adaptive/assertive display turned on. It's the same for miui so i guess rr is fine but that option is still annoying.

    If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.

    Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
    After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
    Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
    Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
    Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.
