are you sure? i often fastboot flashed with -w and still in cmd i saw being flashed only one slot. in fact i manually fastboot change slot and then reflash..strange
yes, its programmed to flash on all slots after a full wipe which is the purpose of -w.

If you check cmd prompt messages after it flashes to your active slot then it send the same files to slot_a or slot_b which ever isn't active but keeps it ready there as a fall back requirement.

If its okay lets take further discussion off this topic to a thread which is for factory image flashing or i am happy to answer via pm :highfive:

Latest Build

Hi. I have flashed the latest build, following the instructions in the OP. When I reboot, all is well for about 5 minutes. Then the phone stops responding. I get the "system ui is not responding" message. I tried rebooting into recovery and flashing the old build I was on, the one from 04-07. When I attempt to do this, I get a boot loop. So now I'm stuck. Can someone please tell me possible what I did wrong, or if not that at least a way to get back to a working phone? I would prefer not wipe anything, I don't have a way to back it up as I am away from home. Thanks for the time.

Edit: if I reboot the phone, and then just let it sit for a few minutes, the phone will not respond to anything. I have to reboot using the power key, and then immediately unlock the phone to use it. Then after about 5 minutes it will respond the same way, not reactinig to touch and what not.

Ok, so I've narrowed it down to Magisk. All is well until I install Magisk, then the problems described above commence. Hopefully that helps with troubleshooting

Wipe, factory flash Aug, magisk canary. Working fine. No active edge (yet) or modules. Working fine, power requirements maybe... Thanks for the update. Project Fi user, so for me it's carrier switching that will determine Greatness. Like Pixel and Bootleggers first ? builds.

Update to say yes Google Fi is switching as factory. Which is fantastic. For me... sprint, t-mobile, us cellular, switching fine with data services working as should. Wish I could figure out why Pixel (first) can't do this on any than factory. As I said, my favorite ROM-- Thank you for your efforts--

I don't use e-sim. I did find that when wipe of factory image that the last entry if wipe e-sim data (contact provider) I had twice erased that. Went back and complete wipe, factory image install, wait for adb permissions, then installed twrp, Bootleggers. Now twice I had issues with e-sim wanting on first run to use instead of sim. I personally use sim only for the other two phones I switch with. That's about it. Now ROM permissions for Fi, location services, Carrier services...I allow enable before first Fi start up. Now I have marginal T-mobile, kinda marginal Sprint. Excellent US Cellular. But only T-mobile and Sprint seem to enable Fi. Also Fi data is stored in a server not on sim. So maybe a reinstall of everything starting from factory image...?
Update...Fi is acting weird for the last few hours. Now my data usage is 100x normal, so Fi problems may be there side? Not valid data usage...I hope:)

Just adding something. Switched from this to Pixel (1) Factory 10, Fi back to "normal". Something that I believe.. maybe... But Fi Sim needs wifi to move configuration (?) Data into secured area? Because first start up wifi moves data then configuration of cell data services...you know it's working correctly if "maximize coverage" ok to disconnect? Message Panel appears on app screen.

Help with the ROM

Hi, I'm running the latest build. I have no kernels.installed, no tweaks, just the ROM. I've tried installing this several times, but Everytime the same thing happens. The phone wl start randomly rebooting. The seetings app force close I when I try to open Settings-Apps and notifications, and then select any app. When I try to uninstall an app, I have to go through the play store or titanium backup. Either one I use winds up rebooing when it's done.

How would I troubleshoot this? Logcat to start?

Thanks in advance.

Great work so far! Is there an option to disable icon labels on the home screen ? And would it be possible to include an option as in Havoc OS to remove the empty bar under the keyboard (gboard). There, this can be achieved in Gesture Navigation Settings ? Thanks in advance.

How is it running?
Really well so far, just a few things, one being no active edge, the padding for the statusbar is a little off (percent and clock may get a little cut off) and the AOD is always super bright which is a little annoying at night, so I had to turn it off fow now.

I'm also a sucker for the vaporwave QS headers. ♥

Maybe a video, but I'd probably wait until we get more things under the hood :D

I actually just went through this process today myself. I followed the steps slothdabski wrote in his post on the previous page, but used the latest links he provided in the post right above yours.

Note that this does not root the phone. I'm now trying to figure out how to properly install Magisk to do so - the instructions for that say to patch the latest factory boot image, but since I had to use the boot image linked for this ROM would I patch that one instead? Appreciate any help someone can provide for that! I'll be looking to install EXKernel after that (I think that's the proper order?) Struggling with figuring out the right order and steps since everything has been written to assume you are using TWRP which we cannot :(
