Browser issue still not fixed... Sad... Goin to another ROM due to instability.
try chrome dev app i read about it it fixes it. it seems our graphic blobs are to new for the current chrome stable version

Dear rcstar6696, on your advice, I installed the firmware from another author, now everything is fine! You wrote that you can’t reproduce my GPS problem. Install the GPS_Test program, in the settings-satellite filter, disable only the display of GPS satellites and see how the program shows satellites of other navigation systems.
I will be happy to return to your firmware if you restore the display of not only GPS but also satellites of other navigation systems. Thank you!
I can't reproduce your issue sorry.its still fine here i even installed old builds all works fine is same as before

After I downloaded the zip file from the system update and select flash. It bring me to TWRP and ask me for the password in 'mount decrypt data' page. What is the password ? Thanks for your help.

But this issue related not only to chrome browser. When chrome is hanging other apps didn't open too. I guess it's SystemWebView related issue.
This chrome issue is happening with many . My nexus 6 using lineage has this problem too. My mother's As a9 also. So I don't think this is because of this ROM

Video. This is a video from another phone, but the problem is the same, your firmware does not have GLONASS yet

Updated Trought OTA - Bootloop? why? i've always update by ota and never a problem.... what i can do?

Just reflash by twrp, nothing changed. I'm restoring an 1 month old nandroid, then i'll retry to update via ota...

Succsesfully updated from an old version of CarbonRom via OTA

Ok, i found the cause of the bootloop.
I've installed a magisk module called Smali Patcher https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-smali-patcher-0-7-t3680053 which allow me to use fakegps and mock locations on pokemon go (yeah, pokemon go...)
yesterday, after recovering the old backup i've reinstalled this module, then i've update again via OTA, and boom, again bootloop. Now to have CR working again, i've dirty flash the past release (20200708-0642) over the new one, reapplied module and all is working fine. If u wanna fix this problem with this module, nice, but i can stay with this CR version with no problems!

P.s. There is a bug when i open a telegram notification via popup or notification bar. It become totally bugged and i have to kill telegram and reopen it. This is from the very firts version, i've wrote about that on discord, but i don't know if you read that.... Overall, the best rom ever

I installed the boot image, recovery, ROM, GAPPS following the directions and everything looks and feels great.

Encrypted my Mi Pad 4 and the suggested TWRP recovery cannot decrypt my storage. Did I do something wrong or is encryption not supported?

Could use some help getting encryption setup right, loving Carbon.
Dear Forum,

I encrypted my MiPad 4 with a password. Everything went fine - the device is encrypted with the password. Before the ROM boots up I am challenged to enter the password, and if it is correctly entered the partition is decrypted.

HOWEVER, when entering TWRP it doesn't appear to recognise the encrypted partition at all. I go straight into the TWRP home screen. I try to select the encrypted storage so as to be prompted to enter a password but the encrypted partition is not there! ☹☹☹

How do I decrypt the partition in TWRP so as I can flash Magisk etc.? ☹?☹

Thank you for any information.

Dear Forum,

Thank you for any information.
Older versions of TWRP have an issue where you get asked for a non existent decryption key. Even when it is not decrypted. It does not matter what you do it will not work inside TWRP.

The latest verion of TWRP is 3.4 https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomimipad4.html

Whether or not that fixes your issue - I have not looked.

Thank you for your work, short feedback: is the Bluetooth issue solved? The version from the 13/07 had a couple of issues, like browser hanging, android auto did not launch with cable connection and the already mentioned Bluetooth issue. 22nd version still had the Bluetooth issue (for me), whereas android auto works fine again. Had less problems with your unofficial version ;)
