Microphone not working after update

I updated to the build from 15/12/2018 (from 06/12/2018) and am no longer able to get audio recorded from the microphone in any app.

Tried full wipe and reflash with no luck. any ideas?

Using the twrp from the first post I did a full wipe, installed latest CarbonROM and micro GAPPs and microphone is working for me. I came from unofficial Lineage 16... if it makes any difference (I guess it shouldn't)

My recent experience is that today this ROM is by far the less buggy of all clover unofficials.

Yes, couldn't find anyone having the same problem as me. It also did not work with a headset plugged in. I noticed sound stopped playing correctly at some point too...

I've switched to lineage16 - sound now OK. No idea what my issue was. Things seem slightly less buggy for me (can now use humble bundle app again) - but suspect I will find some interesting different issues soon :)

Would not be surprised if the issues I was experiencing were due to a mistake on my part, carbon generally seems great

I used stable, but guess it isn't a requirement.

About battery usage at standby, I can confirm it uses a bit too much. I have a 2013 LG V500 and it uses almost nothing on standby.

Of course Clover is a superior tablet in every respect, but battery usage at standby doesn't seem "normal" by any measure. I don't know if it is Xiaomi's fault or this ROM's, or my settings. I'm getting 20% battery use over 7h of standby, on airplane mode.

Mi Pad is not recognized by my PC anymore after flashing this ROM
(flashing the xiaomiEU ROM works fine and makes it usable/detectable by PC again?!?!)

"Updating driver" and whatsoever did not work -
Device Manager showed the Mi Pad as "MTP" with a warning sign

Hi.
It has to be xiaomi, s kiss of death. I observed terrible result in miui 9. It was a bit better in miui 10.
Battery in standby will work like you want if you have rooted device. I configure all my devices, and no voice devices are able stand-by during month and half. The all time working gsm modem shorting this.
What to do? In own script or rom configuration (if rom has it) turn off wifi and mobile data on smartfons and wifi and gsm modem on tablets. Additional turn off nfc, bluetooth... on every lcd lock. Turn it on, on lcd unlock.
Use L Speed with battery configuration.
Use Greenify for restricted hibernation all not needed apps.
Use Wakelock monitor for detect problematic apps and hibernate it in Greenify.
Use Netguard or other firewall for cut intertnet for not needed apps.
Always check if not needed apps do not auto start with system.

This is all. You need only root and xposed. I suggest to use too the XPrivacyLua if yor privacy has any value.

If you say, this is not possible in your rom, it can be true. I configured it on non-gsi AICP mordiford.

I'm pretty sure it will be fixed in next build. Havoc had same problem and it was fixed.

Does this ROM support wacom tablet via OTG?

Hey Guys new build is up!

Changelog:
- USB and BT Audio fixed
- Smartcover working
- new kernel 4.4.167
- updated wifi driver
- KCAL Support (Display Color Calibration)
- updated libaries and services from Mi A2 pie release
I have a Wacom One tablet and would love to connect to this tablet and take notes with it. Does it work?

Please keep the performance high. I tried other Roms but they have low performance compared to this rom because they lower performance to extend battery life. Been using this rom for a while and it's working great. Havoc was a rom I tried but performance dropped after a update. I know it's hard because you have people that want performance and people that want long battery life. Maybe release a performance build and a longer lasting battery build.

I don't think this is a good idea. The battery life problem we are discussing here is specifically about standby mode battery use, so it really can't affect performance as you wouldn't be even using the tablet.

I solved the problem by turning off the tablet instead of putting it on standby. Not ideal, but now battery use really is zero when I'm not using it. At least boot time is really low so it isn't much of a problem.

Can you please add Wacom tablet support to the kernel?

I desperately want support for Wacom tablet (Nexus 7 style) on my Mi Pad 4 Plus. I want to plug in my Wacom One tablet to my Mi Pad 4 Plus via USB OTG and use it to take notes, draw on the tablet among several other things. I found a kernel driver (searh ampang-AOSP-mako-kernel on Github) to do just this but don't know how to proceed further. Went through the kernel source of Carbon ROM to find there isn't any driver for Wacom. Could you please add this to the ROM along with some useful GUI tools to adjust say pressure sensitivity, orietation, scaling etc? :fingers-crossed: This is such a good tablet and it would be real good productivity and art wise to include this.

Any chance you may get the USB-C audio to work,... I have the ANC Xiaomi headset, which (apparently) Xiaomi forgot to support on their own MiPads. I think its just the generic driver which is missing. The headset runs flawless on my old P10+ ... Maybe i can support you with some information if you need. Cheers.

Is anyone else having an issue with charging? Since the last update my device won't charge. It went to zero and now it won't turn on unless I have it plugged in and boot to fastboot or recovery first. After booting it stays on to charge for a few minutes and then turns itself off and stops charging.
