I'm running lollipop. Oh yeah, need hot spot mod still. Tried galaxy tools without deleting super user. No dice, I do not want to delete super user app. Any alternatives?
It works for me without removing SuperSU. Not all features will work but adding hotspot and notifications does.
Try 3.15 then update to 3.18 or it won't work. Also you can remove SuperSU then install this and run the more you want. After that simply reinstall SuperSU.
The more from Tools will still be there.

FYI, I was stock rooted on NG2 with Philz Recover and using Galaxy Tools for Hotspot(v3.02). I Odin'd the Tar file and got stuck on "Android updating, starting apps" for a few hours. Did a battery pull and cleared the cache. It started right up and has been running fine since. For some reason, Galaxy Tools and the Hotspot still works without updating to v3.18 as some have suggested. Hope this helps someone.

@muniz_ri

I followed the second method (Odin), and everything went fine. Wifi is working properly and the battery life is great. The issue I have is that unlike the Roms you posted for the Verizon (i545) which I flashed today as well I found out that by using the Odin method on the L720 my KNOX counter went to 0x01. I know you didn't specify that by flashing the ROM the Knox counter would change, so I mistakenly assumed (since I flashed your i545 ROMS) that there would be no problems with Knox.

Anyway it really doesn't matter because I have had the L720 for close to 2 years and by this time there is no warranty to speak off, but I think you might want to update the OP to let others know that by flashing the ROM using the Odin Method their KNOX counter will change.

Question... Do you know if maybe the reason for this is that I used Odin for the L720 and on the i545 I used Flashfire instead. Perhaps Flashfire might be the prefer option for those that do not want their Knox counter to change (assuming Odin was the culprit)

Thanks.

Correct, FF does not trip the warranty flag however flashing via Odin does.

On the I545 it is a non-issue since it is impossible to flash modified firmware via Odin due to the locked bootloader. Anyway, I willl add a note to the OP. thx

4. Once the flash completes pull the battery again and boot into Recovery, perform a Factory Data Reset then Reboot. Done!
Why the factory reset? If this is mostly the same as OTA updates, then is a factory reset really needed? I did not do it, and currently, it's going through the "Optimizing app X of Y" business, as if it's taking.

I installed a week ago. Install went fine without a hitch, and the modem worked fine after the install was done. Seems to be running fine. I don't really like all the bright colors and whites that Lollipop have, and I refuse to use Touchwiz launcher. Thank goodness for Nova Launcher and third party apps like for dialers.

The one issue I do notice though it with the Recent Apps. Whenever I clear all, it clears all apps, but then reverts back to either a previously opened app, or a material design white screen with an orange top. I just press the home button to take me back to my home screen, but still, it's a little "first world annoyance".
