Fingers crossed...

So far so good!!
Installed zip using FF Pro, rebooted into download mode (because of no wifi during initial setup) and flashed modem in Odin, did a battery pull as soon as I got the Success in Odin and setting up now with wifi. I'm bouncing back and forth between wifi and 4GLTE, so I'm sure LTE is working and just a smart mode issue. So far so good. When all my 196 apps are downloaded and updated, I'll report back.
Thank You @muniz_ri and Thank You Ryan @bilgerryan for directing me to OD2 from your threads!!

Lollipop in general is known to have battery problems and Samsung has admitted they know about it and are working on fixing it.

Its not Lollipop, its usually third party apps. Check out this blog and the numerous people who solved problems http://www.websiteworld.com/samsung-galaxy-s5-battery-drain-fix-lollipop-sprint-verizon/

My phone goes about 12 hours on a regular Anker battery. Also some people need to buy a new battery and not a fake OEM cheap battery from ebay.

is anyone having an issue with videos either captured with your camera, videos stored on your phone/sdcard/ext-sdcard or online (e.g. youtube, vimeo, amazon-video, online html5 or java based video player, flash player via dolphin web browser) the issue is that video freezes and skips in videos that were recorded with the phones camera, or mp4 media files. But audio continues to play. However online sometimes 5 to 30 seconds into the video it completly freezes, and the audio continues to play. I do not know what is causing this to happen. I have read about similar situations with other Samsung devices running lollipop. i have experienced this with every version of tw lollipop running, stock non rooted and rooted, non modified and modified, deodexed and odexed, cwm, twrp and odin, and on 2 sph-l720s.

Mine too, but I was getting 20+ hours on KitKat and I have already tweaked Lollipop. Believe me, I know what I'm doing. Lollipop eats more battery even when sleeping. Yes, it will probably get better as we learn to tweak it better, but it has gotten worse with every Android version. The batteries have gotten better but they still end up lasting about the same amount of time. I mean the more "smart" features implemented, the more resources, it's just the way it is. I just noticed quite a significant difference.

Updating the boot loader?

I followed the method 2(odin file), and everything is great, thank u so much!
I'm just wondering how to update the boot loader to OD2, any file to flash?
My phone's boot loader is NG2.
Also I have noticed that the call recording function doesn't work.
Thank you,

I see some of you are having trouble with video...very strange. I have tried Youtube, Netflix, and some personal videos taken on on Kitkat firmware and have zero issues...
I have absolutely no video stuttering nor audio/video mis-sync. No idea what the difference might be or why...
