Flashed it with TWRP and everything went fine, let it reboot and it took a few minutes to get to setup and then it launches the setup wizard. It won't let me turn on Wifi and it crashes the setup wizard. I shut down and boot to recovery and it appears that it put stock recovery in place of TWRP. Now it won't verify any ROMs I have on my SD Card. Any solutions anyone can think of aside from Odin?

You must have dowloaded early this morning. The current version does not override your custom recovery. Just flash TWRP in Odin. To fix wifi completely power down then boot into download mode and flash the modem in post#2.

Alright, oddly I didn't download this morning. Ah well, time for round two!

I had issues when I flashed through flashfire. All my data remained but wifi wouldn't work. So I wiped my phone and flashed through twrp. Wifi now works.

I see. So is the ROM now working 100%?

My idea to push modem/non-hlos does not seem to work. I will add a note to OP having Users flash via Odin after powering off completely.
Yes, sorry for the delay, been testing everything out and restoring all my apps. Everything is working great! Phone is very quick and responsive. Glad I didn't get the S6 now. Might as well wait for a 4k screen! I think you just have to keep trying the modem install until it takes it, preferably after the phone has been powered down, maybe even pull the battery if necessary before going into Download mode.

My Gear Fit Watch works with the 1.16 version of the gear fit manager too can't get it to pair with 1.17, although that was a problem on KitKat too.
How do I fix the SD writeable issue? On KitKat I used an up from NextApp Inc called SDFIX.

Don't know how to enable SD card write but others can chime in on that. Thanks for your help on this and everyone else that chimed in via the thread or PM. If possible please share your experiences with the TetherAddOn.

It booted for me but i before i flashed this i went back to stock ng2 unrooted. after odin from that i booted into the ng2 and was faced with zact mobile followed by nonstop android process phone has stopped (those are not exact words) so from there i installed this rom. same zact problem and messages. i went to aosp rom and all working fine. tried from there for this rom again and still zact problem. Does this rom have zact also or is it embedded in my phone somewhere now? Full wipe each time and never saw zact until the ng2 odin. Was on wicked x previously with no problems.

Never heard of zact but it sounds like there was no wipe which carried over your user data including "zact." A factory reset should resolve.

I did a factory reset and no luck. I am currently researching. The message pops up every time i hit ok making most anything impossible to try. but good to know its not in this rom. thanks for the reply.

The new, rebuilt ROM has been added to the OP however it is likely uneccessary since we have determined the wifi issue is due to the modem/non-hlos not sticking. I did remove the auto-wipe script in case that was contributing to the freeze upon rebooot. We'll see.... Enjoy!

How is typical battery life with this new 5.0 vs 4.4. Any better or the same old same old?

I did a complete fresh install on a phone I'm about to send in for damage warranty and it worked well, didn't have any issues.
