I'm a bit confused with this one. I need to install magisk, and if i'm not mistaken the F3 has an A/B partition system so

to install the patched magisk img i should do:

fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b boot.img

But when i do that, the rom gets stuck on the loading arrow logo.

Should i just patch it with:

fastboot flash boot boot.img ?

Edit: Actually no, that gives the same result, stuck on the loading arrow logo.

Can anyone explain how to install the patched magisk file on this one ?

You can do this an easier way. Just use the Magisk installable zip file you can find in the internet. To do this, use TWRP (link to detailed instruction is in the first post) via "fastboot boot <twrp img file>", then simply install the zip. I did it this way and... it just works.

This method didn't help, still exactly the same result, stuck at the arrow loading logo... :(
I really wish i didn't need magisk :/

Edit: Did it with "flashboot flash boot_ab" and it works like a charm, thanks for your help :)

Ok, why didn't i try this rom sooner, it's absolutely amazing.

Blazing fast, battery life seems great for now, everything works, banking apps, fingerprints auth, i mean, wow.

Two questions though:

-Right now i'm running the version with the included gapps. What's best, this or maybe running the vanilla with NikGapps basic or something ?

-How do you get rid of the google play widget on the lock screen ? (GAPPS version of the rom installed)

As the Santander UK app has stopped working on the latest version, I thought I would try going back to the previous version to see if it is the latest ROM that 'broke' it.

I can only see the latest version of 11 and 12 on the downloads page; am I being blind?

I'm willing to try this rom. I'm using another aosp rom. I should do a clean installation, right? Do I have to back all my data, including internal sdcard data (photos etc)?

Trying to install ArrowOS on the Poco F3.
Succesfully flashed the images (boot_alioth.img & vendor_boot_alioth.img) as described.
The next stap is executing the command "fastboot reboot recovery" to reboot into the ArrowOS recovery.
When I execute this command I get the following message "fastboot: usage: unknown reboot target recovery".
Anybody else encountered this problem and found a solution?

I also experienced this.
What I did was download TWRP aliothin.img and flash boot it through 'fastboot boot twrp_aliothin.img'.
In twrp, I factory reseted and formatted data.
Then I rebooted to bootloader and entered twrp again by typing 'fastboot boot twrp_aliothin.img'.
After that I adb push rom file.zip and flash it throgh twrp.
I got a couple errors during installation or formatting data (don't remember) but the rom booted with no issues.

Has anybody experience total lag when using the phone? It happens right after unlocking the phone. It doesn't happen often but when it does, the phone becomes unusable unless restarted.

The solution is as simple as rebooting manually into recovery.

Is there an app cloning feature, like in MIUI/xiaomieu rom? I mean like a two separate instances of the app, mostly for apps that don't provide a way for easy account switching.

Recently I've got the problem that every incoming call comes in as "unknown". It is not my provider since the problem doesn't persist between phones. I've cleared storage and cache from the dialer and contacts apps. Settings in both of them does not indicate that I set it up as to block numbers or anything. No settings in ArrowOS that I can find indicates something about this problem.

Anyone any idea about this?

Don't know which country or network you're fon but here's my solution. This needs to be done after every firmware update.

Damn. Looks like exactly what I need to do. The link tells of Poco F1 though? And is root required? I'd rather not install Magisk.

What's the OPST and PDC tool btw? Never heard of it.

Thanks in advance.

Have you found a solution? I have the same issue on my F3 with the current LineageOS nightly.
Unfortunately not. This bug is still present...

Not really a solution, but I found a workaround:
If I change the Preferred network type to LTE/TDSCDMA/... instead of NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/... (this effectively disables 5G) the Choose network page works.

    anyone ??

Any better route to support or discussion ??
People tend to help out if they know and as long as it is not a silly question. In your case I would assume we don't know.

I learned a long time ago that XDA wasn't the best place to get support, so if I need it I tend to google my issue to find somewhere else that someone has asked the question and got a solution.

    Your mileage may vary.

I've been using this ROM for a few weeks and it's great but I noticed a couple of things and have tried to fix them.

The phone doesn't always go into full suspend mode because there's an misconfigured interrupt from the always on processor.
    This should fix it:
    https://github.com/dzo/android_kernel_xiaomi_alioth/commit/7ee79cda883ec09c69ba03d18d1be34291077442

The display doesn't go into low power mode when the always on display is enabled. There's also a clock with the wrong name in the device tree.
Here's a quick fix for both those things:
    https://github.com/dzo/android_kernel_xiaomi_alioth/commit/8ac729b52ea721a419b5dd7f21eaa829675b925b

Attached is a zip containing a new boot.img and also a new dtbo.img, the dtbo isn't really necessary but I updated it to match the panel settings in the stock MIUI tree. In a dark room, the always on display might be quite bright but it's actually using less power than it used to.

You can check the power usage with the display off by connecting adb over wifi and looking for lines like this in the kernel messages:

    <12>[ 309.495162] healthd: battery l=78 v=4129 t=31.5 h=2 st=3 c=40039 fc=4568000 cc=14 chg=

It's the c= number that's important, this is the power consumption. With the display off it's about 17K, with the display in low power mode it's about 40K and without my fixes it was over 100K with AOD on.

flash from fastboot (not recovery) with:

    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img

This boot.img is patched with magisk, has root and should pass safetynet.

You can also try the kernel out using:

    fastboot boot boot.img

Unplug usb quickly after it says it's booting or it will just show a charging icon. This won't modify your system, just reboot to go back to the original kernel.

All this should be quite stable but because the system wasn't previously going into suspend it might show up other bugs in some drivers. Use at your own risk!
