Ya i'm excited for arrow 12 too but I'm still hopeful as I've experienced no issues before I updated my firmware. Have you tried the arrow 12 beta? How was it?
I haven't tried 12 yet. There's an app I will want to use that some are saying doesn't work with 12.

Also, I'm waiting for the general chatter to end; still a few too many 'issues' for me to take the plunge.

Don't want to try it and find I can't come back to 11, I can't even go back to a previous version of ArrowOS 11 (no idea how to circumvent the anti-rollback).

Hello to all.
How can I close an app by long pressing the back button?
I can't find the setting.
Thanks to those who will answer

HI all. It's possible to downgrade from Arrow Os 12 to 11? I have 12 installed but i want to customize even more with gravity box. Also some things in tasker are not working, like brightness control on v12.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it's updating the firmware or arrowos or both but I got 10 screen on time for the first time since I got this phone! I used to get 6 hours max before. Normal/slightly heavy usage + 60 hz all the time but other than that no battery saving tricks or anything. Gps and Bluetooth always on but no AOD. I'm happy!

Xiaomi Wear problem.
Any advice?

I have a POCO F3 running ArrowOS v11.0 GAPPS from November 12th. Everything is smooth as butter, but I have one annoying problem. I can't get notifications to work on my Xiaomi Mi watch color. I configure the app Xiaomi Wear to send notification from apps like facebook messenger and WhatsApp to the watch but it doesn't work. Disabled battery saving etc in Xiaomi Wear but without result...

I had no problems when I was using MIUI

Hello everyone. I haven't flashed a rom since a long time and it always was on old Samsung phones (Galaxy note 3). Now I'd like to try new roms on my Poco f3.
My phone is already unlocked. I have a question about something I don't get in the OP. You say at some point to "Reboot in ArrowOs recovery" but when was it flashed ? Was it during the flash boot or the flash vendor ? Or is it another step I have to do before ?
Sorry for the noob question but I've never flashed a rom using adb.

I think it was during the flash boot and vendor boot.
After flashing those 2 files, you could go to ArrowOS Recovery by using the "fastboot reboot recovery" or by manually pressing Vol. Up + Power button. Then continue the installation step guidance.

After flashing boot and vendor boot you need to reboot to ArrowOS Recovery using this command:
Fasboot reboot recovery

IF ur phone doesn't reboot to ArrowOS Recovery, then you need to reboot it manually (like I did, actually) by pressing Vol. Up + Power until ur phone vibrating.
After that just continue follow the instructions step carefully.
Thanks for the answer. So the ArrowOs recovery is installed during the boot or vendor flashes ?

@palaych does this ROM support APTX ADAPTIVE CODEC? I'm currently on CorvusOS but I noticed my gaming BT earphones had like 300ms delay when I used to get only 45ms on a different phone so I found out Corvus does not support aptX Adaptive. I would like to try ArrowOS but that codec is a must to me. Can you help?

Where do we go to get the newest baseband/modem... I ask because my 5g on tmo is terrible... Hopefully it's just a modem issue... And by terrible I mean under 2mbit...yet on 4g I'm getting 30-150mbit. I also have the tmo 5g home internet and in the same spot it's doing 450 mbit 🤦‍♂️.

ArrowOS 11 problem. No Fast Charge.

Phone took 36 minutes to charge to 33%. It took 36 minutes to charge to 80% on stock MIUI.

Flashed ArrowOS 11 alongside TWRP and magisk.

What could be the issue and fix?

Cheers.

My OK Google stop working on latest update and global firmware 12.5
    Anyone have same problem?

Sorry, I am a beginner but very interested.
I have downloaded the latest firmware (V12.5.7.0.RKHEUXM) but I don't have TWRP installed on the phone. Can you tell me if it is possible to update the firmware WITHOUT twrp and how please (in detail it would be nice).
    Many thanks in advance.
Try adb sideload option. You can find it in most recoveries such as arrow recovery. You need adb tools of course. The command is "adb sideload xxxxxxxxxx.zip"
Where do you guys install the firmware ? Could you please share the link. Also, can I upgrade the firmware if I am using Lineage OS or do I have to install miui ?

You can update firmware on any rom. Just go into recovery and follow steps above

    YES !!!!
I have rebooted in TWRP mode (fastboot boot twrp.img) and installed the new firmware successfully.
A BIG THANK to you, I have learned from you and I'll know what to do next time.
    Thanks again.

Ok, I'm not understanding at the moment.... I'm trying to do a recap of the situation:

    1) the problem that some people have is the "ok google/hey google" feature that doesn't work (Android 11)
    2) another issue is battery consumption/battery % charge lock (android 11 if I understand well)
    3) some people told to us to upgrade to Android 12 from Android 11, best way is a clean flash (but hey I want to save all my data at the moment and I don't want to wipe everything), but dirty flash from adb is still a solution
    4) I don't understand if the first 2 issues are linked to the new MIUI firmware release by Xiaomi and that we must flash on our device to solve these issues (or solve the first one and have the second one)

    Is there something wrong?
Can anybody tell me something that make sense please?

I've been using this ROM for a few weeks and it's great but I noticed a couple of things and have tried to fix them.

The phone doesn't always go into full suspend mode because there's an misconfigured interrupt from the always on processor.
    This should fix it:
    https://github.com/dzo/android_kernel_xiaomi_alioth/commit/7ee79cda883ec09c69ba03d18d1be34291077442

The display doesn't go into low power mode when the always on display is enabled. There's also a clock with the wrong name in the device tree.
Here's a quick fix for both those things:
    https://github.com/dzo/android_kernel_xiaomi_alioth/commit/8ac729b52ea721a419b5dd7f21eaa829675b925b

Attached is a zip containing a new boot.img and also a new dtbo.img, the dtbo isn't really necessary but I updated it to match the panel settings in the stock MIUI tree. In a dark room, the always on display might be quite bright but it's actually using less power than it used to.

You can check the power usage with the display off by connecting adb over wifi and looking for lines like this in the kernel messages:

    <12>[ 309.495162] healthd: battery l=78 v=4129 t=31.5 h=2 st=3 c=40039 fc=4568000 cc=14 chg=

It's the c= number that's important, this is the power consumption. With the display off it's about 17K, with the display in low power mode it's about 40K and without my fixes it was over 100K with AOD on.

flash from fastboot (not recovery) with:

    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img

This boot.img is patched with magisk, has root and should pass safetynet.

You can also try the kernel out using:

    fastboot boot boot.img

Unplug usb quickly after it says it's booting or it will just show a charging icon. This won't modify your system, just reboot to go back to the original kernel.

All this should be quite stable but because the system wasn't previously going into suspend it might show up other bugs in some drivers. Use at your own risk!
