When I plug my F3 in to charge, the screen doesn't light up to show the lock screen. Is that normal behavior?

For the record, my X3 Pro on ArrowOS would light up when the charger is plugged in.

Any help would be appreciated! I'm on the latest (as of now) 24072021 build.
Would really appreciate some answers on this.

Does your screen light up when your charging cable is inserted? Mine doesn't, even on the 2 August build.

Anyone faced with this last update a problem related with notifications of whatsapp being reset? Or just the notification sounds were different to previous builds?

I'm experiencing random crashes which seem to happen more consistently while not connected to Wi-Fi at home. First installed the July 9th build with GApps and then did OTA update to July 24th build. The problem has been experienced on both builds. Phone is mostly stable while at home on Wi-Fi but does still crash the odd time but not as frequently (likely when it loses Wi-Fi signal). I kept getting crashes at a store today until I could get connected to their Wi-Fi and things were stable again.
No longer getting crashes/reboots with the August 2nd build but instead get a bunch of network resets.

I've just flashed ArrowOS for the first time. My first impressions are positive, nice ROM :)

One complaint I do have is that the ''natural'' display setting is still too saturated compared to the ''original'' or any of the sRGB modes that you can find in MIUI. I would like to see a feature where either the natural mode is less saturated/vibrant or where we can modify the calibration ourselves for increased colour accuracy.

Is battery level like charge untill 80% also removed in that update?

Yes, it also removed in the newest update too

I used to the smart charging all day. Don't know why developer removed the feature. Anyway, I love this rom very much.
To work around the removal of smart charging, I installed this Magisk module: Advanced Charging Controller (ACC) and control it with the app: Advanced Charging Controller App (AccA). I can confirm it works fine on ArrowOS!

Can confirm that it doesn't lmao.

I've uninstalled it this morning , it almost bricked my phone and will probably brick yours if you keep it on your device.

I've had it slow down charge to a crawl countless of times - leave phone plugged overnight wake up to 41% battery. It basically charged for 5 hours till 50% then slowed so much that it drained back to 41% by the time I woke up...

Worst part is when your phone hits 0% and dies then there's a chance it'll brick itself. I regularly had to wait 10 minutes or more every time it died because it would flash critical battery level and refuse to start...

Sorry to hear that! I have been using it for more than a week and never saw it slowing down charging. Every morning it was at 70-75% as configured.

What battery temps did you have when it slowed down charging? Did you change any configuration? I am using ACC with everything set to default and have never seen higher temps than 40 C.

This isn't really bricking actually, if the battery wouldn't charge you could always boot into recovery and let it charge that way...

If IC chips gets more fked up than that it stops charging even in recovery....

Would rather not mess with any of that

Hello,
First of all, thanks for the magnificent 'ROM', a great job, it is very fine, it is very stable and no problem with it.
I have followed the instructions to be able to execute for example 'PRIME VIDEO' or the bank application, either hide 'MAGISK' or hide the applications from 'MAGISK' but there is no way they work, is there a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a reason you're rooting your phone (and thus having to use Magisk)? I've been using this rom for weeks now and my banking apps and Prime work just fine. I haven't had the need to root.

I've been using this ROM for a few weeks and it's great but I noticed a couple of things and have tried to fix them.

The phone doesn't always go into full suspend mode because there's an misconfigured interrupt from the always on processor.
    This should fix it:
    https://github.com/dzo/android_kernel_xiaomi_alioth/commit/7ee79cda883ec09c69ba03d18d1be34291077442

The display doesn't go into low power mode when the always on display is enabled. There's also a clock with the wrong name in the device tree.
Here's a quick fix for both those things:
    https://github.com/dzo/android_kernel_xiaomi_alioth/commit/8ac729b52ea721a419b5dd7f21eaa829675b925b

Attached is a zip containing a new boot.img and also a new dtbo.img, the dtbo isn't really necessary but I updated it to match the panel settings in the stock MIUI tree. In a dark room, the always on display might be quite bright but it's actually using less power than it used to.

You can check the power usage with the display off by connecting adb over wifi and looking for lines like this in the kernel messages:

    <12>[ 309.495162] healthd: battery l=78 v=4129 t=31.5 h=2 st=3 c=40039 fc=4568000 cc=14 chg=

It's the c= number that's important, this is the power consumption. With the display off it's about 17K, with the display in low power mode it's about 40K and without my fixes it was over 100K with AOD on.

flash from fastboot (not recovery) with:

    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img

This boot.img is patched with magisk, has root and should pass safetynet.

You can also try the kernel out using:

    fastboot boot boot.img

Unplug usb quickly after it says it's booting or it will just show a charging icon. This won't modify your system, just reboot to go back to the original kernel.

All this should be quite stable but because the system wasn't previously going into suspend it might show up other bugs in some drivers. Use at your own risk!
