A lot (or maybe even all) of users have this issue, including me. It's very old bug on Arrow A11. I don't know why our maintainer doesn't know that for so long time. How to pass this information to him, does anyone know? I've tried to do that in Telegram Arrow OS chat, PM him and got fully ignore...The last hope was XDA forum, but seems that messages here are ignoring too. It's very sad...
I didn't have any of that when I was using ArrowOS 11 back in August/September.

I also don't have any issues with my display running the current build of ArrowOS 12.

Which firmware are you using and did you clean flash ArrowOS 11?

12.5.4 firmware. I've flashed Arrow right after miui fastboot ROM. I know a lot of Arrow OS A11 users who have the same issue with buggy adaptive brightness. It's 100% confirmed bug, but maintainer doesn't want to confirm that and do any attempts to fix it.

ArrowOS 12 is fully stable and doesn't have this bug.

I guess the old ROM won't get much support in the future, so it's time to move on.

I'm having a weird issue right now: the phone isn't mounting any external USB device (pendrive). It happens with at least 3 different pendrives, and I haven't been able to find any that works.

According to dmesg, the device is recognized, it's just not mounted.

Of course all of them work with a different phone, and, funnily, even with TWRP in the same phone! So I think it's clearly not a hardware issue.

Has anybody found some similar issue, or has any idea what could be going on?
Had problems when connecting a keyboard via otg. Worked fine in stock miui. Keyboard also worked with other phones including a poco x3 pro also on arrow os

I have recently discovered an issue where if I connect my wireless earphone(s), most of times it doesn't work properly. Sometimes, the earphone is connected but the songs keep playing in the speaker. Also, it frequently disconnects from BT and then reconnects. Tried with other phones but it doesn't happen. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Firstly, thank you for this amazing rom. I've clean flashed the A11 Gapps build with the latest firmware 12.5.4.0.RJGMIXM but i see some stutters and touch issues while gaming. Other than that, the rom is super smooth. Is there anything i'm doing wrong?

If i download the vanilla build and flash Pico Gapps, will that pass safetynet without issue? Thanks in advance for your support to this device. Respect!

Does smart charging have a negative effect on battery? Say, if I keep my phone set to stop charging at 60% and start charging again at 50% and *keep my phone plugged into a wall charger the whole day*, does the phone rejecting a 5W input charging cause issues?

I've noticed that the touch response of the phone gets

    1. Really bad when it is actively charging
    2. Better but still noticeably slow when rejecting charging
    3. Normal when not charger isn't plugged in at all.
Ok, so first of all, the phone is not rejecting anything from the charger. The phone itself decides how much current goes into the battery, so no matter how powerful the charger is, the phone will just take what it needs, and the charger will simply supply that if it can. Notice that when your phone stops charging, the charger cools off, meaning, it's not putting out any power. Second, your touch issues are the result of a bad charger which has a lot of ripple at the output (extremely fast voltage fluctuation) and that's what's messing with your touch, the phone itself is perfectly fine. You need to either buy a higher quality charger or get another charger that came with some other phone as they're usually good when it comes to that. Whatever you do, don't buy a cheap charger as they can actually be dangerous. And when it comes to the battery, it doesn't care how often you charge it, 50 percent is pretty much the ideal state of charge.

Being on 27th May 2021 build, what would I need to do before flashing newest Arrow build? Or what would be the best way to go back full stock, but keeping BL unlocked so I can just go my own way from there?

    ArrowOS Recovery :
Note: This is a very basic aosp recovery only intended for OTA installs. Do NOT expect other functionalities.

    F.A.Q :

    1. My WiFi, bluetooth and network aren't working after updating to OSS build?
    A. This happens if you're still on the old Q firmware. Flash the latest available R firmware and then follow the above give steps to properly flash the rom.

    2. Unable to update OTA's using TWRP?
    A. The current available recoveries are outdated and are no longer supported for OSS builds. To have a hassle free OTA experience use the above mentioned ArrowOS recovery.
    A. Two of the currently supported recoveries are mentioned above.

    Hello.

Does anyone have any working TWRP for Surya model ?

I see that the developer Brigudav seems to have given up on developing TWRP for Surya.

So is there any replacement ?

    Thank you very much.
    Update -09
    14
So i haven't been around here for a while, after looking at the recent posts many seem to be confused, blaming and do not understand on migrating to OSS builds. In the final MIUI vendor builds the OTA functionality was blocked in order to prevent users from directly updating to OSS builds as it will be needing a MIUI 11 firmware followed by a clean flash. The same has been notified in our device changelogs. Every step and preventive measures have been taken, there's only much i can do from my side in clearing things up. We have this forum and community in place to help each other out, so lets not be pointing fingers here!

Here again i would like to make it clear with a simple guide on how to migrate onto OSS build!

Note: This update will require a CLEAN FLASH (format data), so please backup everything beforehand.
    • Flash the latest available MIUI 11 firmware. (Region doesn't matter!!)
    • Now flash Arrow Vanilla/Gapps build.
    • FORMAT DATA. (You'll loose all your data!)
    • Reboot.
Beware that the current available recoveries haven't been updated yet to support decryption for OSS builds at this point.

Here are the instructions on how you should flash the new OSS Vendor ROM since most people here are confused:

    - Flash latest TWRP by brigudav
    - Flash Android 11 12.0.7 MIUI firmware
    - Reboot recovery
    - Format Data
    - Reboot recovery
    - Flash ArrowOS

    OPTIONAL:
    - Flash Magisk
    - Flash Gapps (If you're on Vanilla build & If you want custom gapps)

    - Reboot system

    Download link:
    - Firmware: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/surya/stable/V12.0.7.0.RJGEUXM/
    - TWRP: You can find it on 4pda but you need an account. I'm not allowed to share it, so you have to get it yourself.

This firmware is for NFC model as I'm not sure where is A11 firmware for non-NFC model. It can possibly work for non-NFC model, feel free to try.

Mission Impossible in all custom ROMs !

    1. Safetynet check the bootloader status and will automatically fail if magisk is not installed (Magisk Hide ON must be applied for this) !

    2. Furthermore, now you have to install the safetynet-fix module to make your banking apps working !

    3. Finally, you must hide Magisk Manager.apk with a random name too (Magisk Settings)
To everyone, please STOP this misconception about having the need to flash magisk in order to pass safety net. Do read the OP I've clearly mentioned there's no need of a magisk or modules for safety net. Device is certified and passes safety net out of the box without need of any modifications.

By improper usage of magisk and mods you're further complicating and breaking things when they're completely unnecessary which end up causing unrelated issues which you end up calling them rom source bugs ¯\(◉‿◉)/¯

P.S : I'm not against magisk, but when you do prefer using modifications do ask yourself on your needs and if you're able to rectify the issues it might generate. Isolate yourself from magisk or any form of modifications to recheck and confirm the issue before making a bug report.
